The Forgotten Longevity Benefits of Taurine - Life Extension

Very interesting read. I've supplemented with Taurine at 5g a day for the past several weeks, and the most noticeable benefit I am aware of thus far is my mental cognition being better. Got an A on my psych test yesterday, not bad for having terrible attention and memory!

I always use it with clen to avoid cramping up.

3g of taurine made a huge difference in any kind of cramping I used to experience.

10 grams is way too much. I read about one person who took not much more than that and severely messed himself up. 2-3 grams of taurine is the correct dose to use.
Here is the example I found:
There has been one report of a bodybuilder who experienced encephalopathy (extensive brain disease) after taking a large dose of taurine (14 grams) in combination with insulin and steroids, but it is not clear if the brain disease was caused by taurine, the other medications, or other factors.
 
Taurine is great, Ive use it pre and post w/o, 3g each.
 
I use 3G in my intra shake along with bcaas creatine and glutamine
 
After starting this var I can't even jog without some taurine in me:banghead:
 
I have taken up to 50g ish of taurine at one time on a regular basis with no issues.

taurine is a sup with sooooooo many benefits!!!!
so cheap and so over looked.

great at low doses for your head

medium ish doses pre and post work out with a lil creatine can add water volume to your cells

high doses at night to help with sleep.

taurine and a little gly will generally fix and cramping and shaking from clen...

a kg to play with is very cheap too!

well worth it!

I've been supplementing 2g for the past two weeks and notice a difference. Good stuff!
 
Just started taking taurine to try to help with muscle cramps and mental focus. Reading up a little on it and found this to be very interesting and something I've never heard before:

A substantial increase in the plasma concentration of growth hormone was reported in some epileptic patients during taurine tolerance testing (oral dose of 50 mg per kg body mass per day), suggesting a potential to stimulate the hypothalamus and to modify neuroendocrine function.

Good thing about taurine is if your body doesn't need it , it wont be assimilated, so you cant really overdose on the stuff, generally 5g is most peoples limit for uptake in 1 dose.
