I'm thinking about getting up extra early to do fasted cardio in the morning, and then hit the gym with weights the same evening. I've been doing it after lifting (in the same workout), but seems like splitting it up would make both more effective. Anyone else splitting cardio and lifting into two workouts on the same day?
 
I Like to do HIT for 8-10 minutes on the stair master post workout. Let me tell you, that will whoop your ass!

Year around 20min pwo just for health 3.0 speed on treadmill. Summertime getting lean, 30min same pace fasted in the AM and 20-30min pwo usually does the trick. Diet plays the biggest part for me and naturally having a high metabolism, add gear to that ratio and does the rest. Never did a comp though so never went below 8%bf.
 
Fasted. Upon waking. Every day but leg days. I walk on a treadmill. If I do my cardio post w/o I have to run to get my heart rate where I want it.
 
Where's the option for bedroom cardio in the evening?

speed of 3.0mph? That's like walking. what's your heart rate from that? I don't feel anything unless I'm above 6.0

What's your target heart rate? Interesting that your HR is faster in the morning than post WO. For me, the lifting already raises my pulse, so it takes less to get my HR going post WO than in the morning. In the morning, I really need to push it.

I do DC/Dorian Yates style weight training so my heart rate is already up by the time I'm done and hit the treadmill. That speed keeps my heart rate where it's at which is around 135-140 which is all I need to be in the fat burning zone.

Big A suggests 20-30 mins cardio before bed in the evenings, so there you go!
 
20-30 minutes for me right after strength training targeting my hr in the fat burning zone
