EO Reaction!!!

I have never had this happen before but I am getting a red rash and pain at injecton site for days, I thought about boiling water and putting the vials in the water after I turn stove off and let sit in their for about 10min to help kill any bacteria ?????? any thoughts to help this issue.

Either an EO reaction or more likely a high BA reaction. Diluting with sterile oil is the easiest way to effectively deal with high BA gear.
Can you post some good photos of what you are talking about?
BTW - if you have a fever, you need to get to medical care ASAP!

how do you know if it's an infection? sorry, don't mean to high jack this thread but I'm experiencing the same thing without the rash on my right glute. It's swollen and painful

I dont feel sick at all just a day later my glute, delt, tricep will be red in the area on injection followed by a very tight sore pain for DAYS!!!, what about boiling water method??

whats the concentration? I had to add (sterile) oil to my 200mg/ml prop to make it less painful. I think if the concentration is too high then the oil will dissolve leaving pure test crystals that are very painful/cause inflammation.

or its infected and you've got a problem on your hand! (hopefully not!)

Sounds like BA reaction to me. Anything over 5% BA would always lump me up. If you have a fever or hot & red inj. site, you need to get medical attention. Hot compresses or heating pad & tennis ball massages worked well for me.

Boiling water won't get the temperature of the vial contents hot enough for long enough. If you don't want to cut it with sterile oil, then you can bake it in the oven. If it is test, then you can heat it to 250F for 90-120min (use a vent pin) - some will say higher temp. If you are really convinced it is contaminated, you could filter it with a .22 micron filter. If I thought it was contaminated, I'd toss it and start over - with a different source...

I had some prop do that to me before. I had a red rash that started running down my arm. I couldn't move it for about a week. I cut the prop with grapeseed oil and didn't have any more problems. I would also use a whatman filter to be safe. If you start getting a high temp or sick go get it checked out right away.
