Straight arm pullovers

Any thought, tips or comments on doing these??
I am going for mass. Workouts are simple. Deads, squats, bench press, overhead press bar rows and upright rows. 6-8 rep range.
Have been told these help with shape, size of lats and pecs. BUt also was told they are hell on the rotator joint.
I would apreciate any and all advice.

Pull overs are not mass builders IMO. If you have a bad rotator cuff, then stay away from them. They are not necessary IMO and you can do fine with other exercises.

I would not mess with them either. I toyed with them every once and awhile and didnt get a whole lot out of it. Using a dumbell while laying over a bench gets to be dangerous too. Once you get stronger on the movement you start using a pretty heavy dumbell, and it gets hard to maneuver it around when you start and end the set. Good way to get injured. If I did them, I would use a machine.
