This is our second round together. Very strong guy.
 
Huge thank you to Viking and UKgear for helping me with this meet prep and retain my win of the shw classic raw division. Last year with his help I was able to win my class with a 1780 total despite a rough back injury sustained 6 weeks out.
My training has since changed and I've increased my frequency and volume and plan to stay away from singles until 4 weeks out of the meet in April.
While talking to a few training partners and friends and advisors it was decided that 310 was too small for a guy my height of 6'3. I'm currently 320, not by any means lean, but not sloppy for a shw powerlifter. Ed Coan told me I need to be 350 or so to optimize leverages. If I can get to 340 without getting fatter than I am now by the meet, I know that will help my strength greatly.
As far as my cycle goes, I'll be running Test and Deca throughout, with periods of dbol and either Anadrol or Superdrol to help me peak.
I go in to the gym for some squats. I'll post my workout when I'm through.

Pretty big meet at the gym yesterday. I had few athletes set national records and one get awarded Best Lifter. Super fun experience. Headed into the gym to help clean up and get a little pump work in.
Close Grip Bench Press 3x8 275
Lat Pulldowns 3x12
Cable Row 3x10
Band Pull Aparts 100 reps
Rope Triceps Pushdowns 100 reps

Super tired and sore from spotting and loading for 70 lifters yesterday but it's always fun to see people do well at meets.

Squat and deadlifts tonight.
Regular Squat bar 3x5 505. Really focused on depth and Upper back tightness. Also working shoulder mobility to bring my hands in a bit.
Deadlifts 5x2 495, then a set of 10 with 495.
Lat Pulldowns and abs finished off the session.

Bench Press Volume-
Shoulders were feeling a little achy today so I threw on the Slingshot for my main work.
275x10, 315x10, 315x10
DB Incline 75x20, 100x15
Delt raises 3x12
Cable Row 3x12
Face Row 3x12
Bamboo Bar Bench 3 sets
After the Bamboo work the shoulders felt quite a bit better. I have biceps tendinitis and shoulder issues that get lit up with straight bar squats so Bench suffers later in the week. It's manageable for now but if I need to change the order of my days I will.
 
Some close grip and upper body assistance stuff today.
Worked to 315x13 before form broke down. Blasted my back, triceps and rear delts with volume as well.
Really trying to dial in my set up for my bench. I tend to be really slow on the eccentric of my first rep and then I'm fine the rest of the set. And in powerlifting it's the only rep that matters so it's a focus.

Been busy lately with the possibility of getting a strength and conditioning position at a local sports performance gym. That's my what I went to school for and I coach people now for powerlifting and crossfit, but it'll be fun to start training other athletes as well if I get the job.

Deadlifts tonight. I wanted to do them touch and go but on my last warmup set I decided to go with dead stop.
