Chaps, thinking of giving this a whirl.

Tried GVT, lower weight high volume..low volume higher weights, etc....

But just wanted on feedback on this particular programme, what did u feel u gained? Pro and cons pls

I worked with Hany for a brief period before getting a partial tricep tear which saw the end of that and some time off - this was a good 4 years ago.

His program was pretty normal to any other and only featured the '7 sets' either as a pre exhaust at the start of the session or as a 'pump set' at the end of a session.

In other words, I would stick with old fashioned progressive overload, it works and isn't some 'guru' bullshit to sell dvds / training plans. Just my opinion.
 
I bought the DVD and tried it.

Nothing too fantastic about it.

I would go very high volume for 4 weeks, then switch to low volume high frequency to switch things up. Works for me.
 
Yeh I was thinking it's another routine which is over hyped like GVT. ..which wasn't anything special.
Progressive overload works best for me also so i Think I will stick to that.

I enjoy DC, milos Sarcev hit style program, and poliquins 5% program as well as his AGVT programs.
 
I'm really enjoying Wendler's 5/3/1 programs and variations. I'm stronger than I have ever been. Have a look into it if your looking to change things up.

I like fst7 when I switch to higher volume from my normal routine. ... there is nothing groundbreaking about it, and nothing that is special about the number 7 sets... but it is pretty standard training... 10-12 reps, 3 exercises- compound, isolation, compound, then shove all the blood in w the pump sets... works great
