Ok my wife is pregnant and we need some advice on food prep for when she starts breast feeding, we are really interested in a amazing diet for her Production of Brest milk we are looking all over for best diets.. She's trying to make her Brest mild strong and potent and we are going to donate some to aswell to premature infants including her left over stem cells in the blood (umbilical cord) for newborns that have health issues .
I'm so excited I'm having a daughter

She's 7 months at this moment

diet will not impact production of milk as much as her natural hormones and determination to do it. Sometimes the baby wont latch on, which leaving pumping. That is WORK! And the utters must be milked consistently, once you start going longer periods the milk can dry out within days. There is also an herbal tea sold at grocery stores that is supposed to help increase product. Also she needs to drink lots of water too.

why you should concern abt alfalfa? because it:
Can increase milk supply
Helps ease morning sickness
Great source of Vitamin K (Many midwives advise drinking mild tasting alfalfa tea or taking alfalfa tablets during the last trimester of pregnancy to decrease postpartum bleeding or chance of hemorrhaging).

You can make concoctions or tea from dried alfalfa leaves.
Use cooked alfalfa sprouts in salads or fresh leaves for soups and other food preparations.
Take alfalfa supplements.

I am very much aware that despite something being natural, it does not always mean it is safe for use by everyone, especially during pregnancy. I’ve researched it and feel comfortable taking alfalfa during my pregnancy and breastfeeding (as long as it does not increase my supply TOO much, since I had oversupply issues last time). In fact, it is often advised to take during late pregnancy for the reasons listed above.
