how can I be a fitness model

I am trying to be a fitness model.
But how can I promote myself and what I have to do to find magazine or company interesting of me.
CAN I be a fitness model?
is my body is good enought?
I am only 5.2" tall

Well Annie, you are definitely in great shape. I would suggest sending some of your pictures to different places. You should try supplement companies too. Remember, their are tons of girls out there, that you will be competing against, so don't get frustrated.

You have great shots and are in great shape!
unfortunately, like pesty said, there are a lot of women out there that want the same thing you do, including me! lol!
Right now, I network on myspace and facebook with photographers and other models as well as joining bodybuilding sites and setting up profiles and posting my pics!
I haven't yet made the time to send letters and photos to supplement companies, magazines, etc, but that is next on the agenda!!

Great shots and shape....I know that self promoting and good marketing of yourself works for some....specially if you have the personality to go with it..... You look like a fitness model already, so you should do like CSLIM and get on facebook, myspace, and send photos to fitness sites and mags....you can't do enought to get noticed, again because of the competition. You can look up modeling agencies in your area. Send them your pics and stats. A comp card is a neccesity if you go that route. I personally have had great success useing agencies to get work. Also hear in Florida there's a website that lists castings here for the entire state.
Make sure you do your research before you sign with an agency first, and be patient. Don't take the first agency that contacts you unless you know they are one of the elite.
I made that mistake when I started I signed with an agency in Orlando, a few weeks later BMG (the most elite in Orlando) contacted me, but because I signed with someone else they decided not to sign me.

Based on your looks I don't see why you couldn"t pull it off. Be persistent and put your face in front of as many people as you can. We'll be here to keep you motivated.

another thing to look at is Linkedin.com

a lot of people use it for business networking but its brilliant for any form of self promotion you are doing.

have a look through there and search on other people in the same field. then look through their connections and see who would be good to network through or speak to.

if you want advice on the best way to do it let me know, if not just mess about with it for a few days and you'll get the hang of it

You have an awesome look, and I think you'd be a great fitness model. Not to discourage or anything, but when you finally do get into some publications you may be very surprised that the pay and lifestyle just isn't what you expected. Most fitness models get paid crap for all that they go through. You might bust your ass for a photo shoot only to end up making $500, if that. Think of all the time and money you put into your body and then think of that pay. People love newcomers too, your the perfect person to take advantage of. "I'll do your photos for you and get you in the magazine, no pay, but you'll get the exposure!!" Meanwhile that guy just made 5 grand off you. The business is full of schemers and scumbags. All I'm saying to you, is keep both eyes open, and dont swallow what everyone gives you whole.
