Hey Fellas- I'm hoping someone with better understanding of blood work can look at my latest results. The results were fasted and at 7:30am. I'm 25, 215bs, 18% bf and have never used any steroids before. The numbers in the ( ) are the ranges from the lab.

HDL 40 mg/dL (>40)
LDL 110 mg/dL (<130)
25 hydroxy vit d 32ng/dL (31-100)
Test total 321 ng/dL (175-781)
Test bioavailable 173 ng/dL (131-682)
Test free 74 pg/mL (47-244)
Test % free 2.3% (1.6-2.9)
SHBG 25 nmol/L (13-90)
DHEA Sulfate 414 ug/dL (8-640)
Cortisol 14.2 ug/dL
Triiodothyronine 1.0 ng/mL (0.7-1.9)
Free Thyroxine 1.05 ng/dL (0.76-1.46)
TSH 1.460 mIU/L (0.360-4.170)
Estradiol 23 pg/mL (0-52)

My doctor called and said my T/E ratio was low at 14 and wanted me to come back in to talk with him about getting on an AI. I'm not very knowledgeable with this stuff and just wanted to get a better idea what I was dealing with before I went and talked with the doctor again.

I appreciate the help

I'm not any type of expert brother but your estrogen looks fine to me. Your test levels are at the low end especially for a 25 year old, I'm your age. What concerns me is your low HDL, 40 is not very good. Your diet needs work most likely brother. As far ad getting on an AI, I'll let someone more knowledgeable answer but in my opinion I would not get on an AI if I were you.

Thanks Rambo- I agree with my HDL, I need to work harder on raising it. I thought my estrogen levels were in a good range too.

From doing a little more research my total test is defiantly low but it seem like my free test is high from some of the recommended levels I've seen. I have no idea what that actually means though or what you can do for it.

Fish oil for HDL and take vitamin D as well. I found Carlson liquid fish oil recently, and I love it. The amount of the actual omegas you get for the price is unbeatable.

They are using the old scale for test. Most test scales now go from somewhere in the 300's to 1100. Everything looks good to me except your test being on the low end. If you were on trt and got that up toward 800-1000 you would feel better. But I'm not your doctor so listen to him, I'm just expressing my feelings.

Thanks kscowboy. I'll have to bring up the new scale with my doctor. I actually feel pretty good health/energy/sex drive wise but I looked up past blood work form November 2013

Vitamin d = 46 (scale is 31-100 NG/ml)
FSH = 2.0 mIU/ML (scale is .7-10.8)
LH = 2.3 mIU/ML (scale is 1.2-10.6
Test, Total = 387 (scale 175-781 NG/DL)
Test, bio = 209 (scale 131-682 NG/DL)
Test, Free = 89 (scale 47-224 pg/mL)
Test, Percent Free = (scale 1.6-2.9%)
Sex hormone-binding globulin = 27 (scale 13-90 nmol/L)

I think I have had low testosterone for a while now and have just become use to the low level and I do not know what "normal" levels feel like.

Since I am pretty young, and want to have kids in the future I'll have to discuss the possibly effect of trt. Do you guys have any insight? I don't have a need for a trt script in terms steroid usage. I don't plan on using other than for health benefits if needed and only lift weights for fun.

I found another blood work from July 2013

HDL 49 mg/dL (>40)
LDL 129 mg/dL (<130)
25 hydroxy vit d 27 ng/dL (31-100)
Test total 424 ng/dL (175-781)
Test bioavailable 219 ng/dL (131-682)
Test free 93 pg/mL (47-244)
Test % free 2.2% (1.6-2.9)
SHBG 29 nmol/L (13-90)
Cortisol 12.9 ug/dL
Triiodothyronine 1.1 ng/mL (0.7-1.9)
Free Thyroxine .99 ng/dL (0.76-1.46)
TSH 1.610 mIU/L (0.360-4.170)

So it looks like test levels have been on a steady decline for the past year. Last year was when I started getting regular blood work done so I don't have any other base line numbers than these.

Everything looks fine except your low on the test range. You can still have kids even if you are on TRT.
