Weird Testosterone vials from Pharmacy

I went to refill my TRT script today. The pharmacy was out of the normal 10ml vial of 200mg/ml, so instead he gave me a small 2ml vial, and said the rest of the vials would be coming in small 1ml non reusable vials that have no preservative.

I'm supposed to take 100mg/.5ml a week. He instructed me that I'll need to use my standard .5ml and throw the other .5ml away which I found strange.

Anyone have any idea what they are talking about? I"ve been on TRT for almost a year and this is a first

Yeah I get 1 ml vials brother...they are a pain in the ass...but my insurance will only pay for a month at a time, so the pharmacy gives me 4 of these every month. They are tiny and a pain in the ass to work with. My brand is Perrigo...and I get them at Walgreens.
Thinking of using that Goodrx coupon and paying cash when I run out next time, just to get the 10 ml vial.
These 1 ml vials can be used again...you don't have to throw the other .5 mg away if it's the same ones....just a mini vial is all. Has a rubber stopper just like the 10 ml vial.
I don't know anything about "non-reusable" or "no preservative".

Even if it was "non re-useable", just store the extra in another syringe for a later date.

Thanks for the info, mine is the Perrigo brand as well.

I'm thinking as long as it has BA in it like a typical preparation it can't really go bad. I have some old 10ml script bottles, so I'll just stick the rest in there and and or just end up taking 200mg a week instead.

Yeah, already did that.... I have to be careful or my RBC's get too elevated, so I have to time my higher doses to end well before my next blood test and I have to give blood every once in a while.
