turned 50 this past year (How the F did that happen??, i can't be that damn old). Been on TRT for past 6 years or so, couple spikes for short periods of time, but not high levels of hormones.
Hemoglobin is 19.5, Hemocrit 60.3, RBC 6.67, MPV 7.07
Doc was worried, this Dr doesn't know i'm on self prescribed trt, until i told him. He also wondered if i was dehydrated, i do take lisinopril w/ hctz, so could be a bit dehydrated, i do a shitty job of drinking lots of water. He wants to check my blood in a month, and maybe send to a Hemologist, or whatever the blood dr is called. Cholesterol total was 219, LDL was 141, HDL 51.5, trig 51.5. Sugar was 107
I did a search and read, mainly said to give blood.
Diet has not been good, been VERY stressed, haven't been in the gym, but that's changing this weekend, and getting back on bike. Will reign my diet back in to lean meats, carbs from fruit, fat from EVOO and such, i farm organically so lots of organic veggies, very little processed foods. I'll also jack my water intake up.
This may very well bring my sugar down, as well as get my lipids back in line, which if not i can take a statin.
So given these numbers, what else can i do to bring down my hemocrit / platelet count? Other than give blood, as i had the "not bad" hepatitis when i had a severe case of mono when i was a kid.
Oh, my Dad had 6 bypasses at 60, small vessels, so i need to wake the F up on m heart / health.
thanks!
