Blood glucose and statins! Your experience!

I'm on a 40 mg statin. (I know the devil made this drug). My blood sugar is always between 100-105 on a fast. I have read a statin raises your blood glucose. To what extent does it???? Have researched. I was wondering about other members with this issue. My mom was on insulin for 30 years. My diet is strong, not perfect! Side note, 120mg=638 ng on day 6!

Diet is good not great. Limit dairy and red meat. Under 2000 calories. Single digit body fat. I have genetic factors working against me but I think the statin is getting me as well

I've been on statins for over 12 years with very little impact on blood sugar. Blood pressure meds have created some issues, but not the statin. I've always taken Coenzyme Q10 and fish oil with it ... Not sure that makes much difference, but FWIW. Some folks find apple cider vinegar at bedtime helps with fasted glucose levels ....

I'm allergic to statins, I'm bed ridden within a week after starting them. Extreme myalgia, and brain fog. Of course I'm in the minority, I now take a inj every morning of a new non stating drug called Praluent, cholesterol went from 440 to 180 and my hdl has skyrocketed...

Thanks guys for responding. It must be genetic. Trying to put off type 1 diebetes as long as I can. Research says it does. My statin gets me under 100 total in cholesterol. That's a benchmark number for some cardiologists. They say patients with those numbers never have cardiac episodes
