OT HBO Cinemax Free Weekend

I noticed The Dark Knight Rises is Saturday at 8.

Thanks for keeping us posted on these things...Not worth paying for the premium channels anymore but good to catch the free weekends!

BAH! HBO is well worth the $10/month or whatever it is. The HBO programs playing now are the best thing going on tv besides The Walking Dead! Here are the ones I really like: Board Walk Empire, Game of Thrones, and the News Room. There are others that are really popular too, one is a vampire show. The programing on regular network tv sucks because all it seems to be now is reality tv.

I agree. I saw that in an Ominmax theater. If you haven't gone to one be sure to in the future. The price premium on the ticket is well worth it. The thing that impressed me the most was the sound system, simply superb. Ive gotten to the point now that my home theater sound is better than a lot of movie theaters so its a bit of a let down when I go out to see one.

I have Dish but this preview should be across the board, Comcast, Cablevision, etc.

The True Blood season premiere is tomorrow night at 9.

Man, you can say that again! The next to last episode was a heart breaker. Two of my favorite characters were murdered in cold blood and another had his penis lopped off! John Snow is in a world of hurt too and I wouldn't be surprised if he dies. At least the girl with the dragons is kicking ass, id kill for her too!

Yeah, season 4 is on its way this OCT. I didn't start watching until midway into season 2. I bought the whole 1st season on bluray and then had to watch the first half of #2 on amazon because it wasn't out on bluray yet.

If I were you I would buy the first season on bluray and watch that. If you like it then buy season 2. Season 3 should be out soon I would expect. You can catch up really fast that way. IMO its one of the best series on tv in a long time. My wife didn't watch it until the beginning of season 3. I had her watch the first 2 seasons on bluray and she was hooked after about episode 2 of season 1! She was very skeptic of the series too and resisted watching it after I did.

Argo on HBO Saturday night. Last December I was at the movie theater trying to decide between that and Skyfall. I saw Bond thinking I would get time to see Argo in the weeks after. Oops.
