Anybody have any ideas how to increase HDL? supplements or ideas? I know the obvious is cardio but that is not working. My last test was at 7!
Thanks in advance

What are you taking that drove it so low? Or is that even low for you? Do you have a baseline comparison? That is, what are your numbers off [I'll assume you're on something since its here]. What's the rest of your cholesterol profile look like?

Try niacin (not flush free), few ounces of red wine each night, and good fats like avacados and almonds. I'm fighting the same issue right now. 4 weeks after Tbol mine went to 14. No more orals for me after this.

Stay away from orals. Anything 17-A methylated will destroy lipid levels.

Try drinking ONE alcoholic drink per day. Honestly made a bigger difference in my lipid levels than any other supplement or Rx item had.

I think some of the anti e's like Arimidex can really lower it bad so watch those.

Niaspan is a prescription niasin that I take and it helps. Some of the statins like crestor and lipitor help to raise it just a bit. ill be going on lipitor soon, since it has gone generic and is cheap as heck now.

10 grams of fish oil

i would not use anything but test for awhile too

Superdrol knocked mine down to 12 a while back and I was scared. Anti-e's, orals, smoking, and too much alcohol are all bad for HDL. Niacin can help but for christ sake do not take a lot at once your first time that stuff can make you REALLY itchy. Stick to 1/4 of a pill and work up.

Niacin works wonders. As does red wine and avacado

Diet, Cardio, EVOO, Niacin, Sesamin, Good high quality Fish Oil. I also really like macadamian oil and EVCO.

I also like MD's Glucose Disposal Agent by True Protein. Furthermore, you might want to add Nolvadex to help improve your HDL levels. I know several guys that swear by it.

Also, quit smoking if you smoke and limit simple sugars.

I was at 26 worked it up to 38 with lots of cardio fish oil, flax, and niacin.

Niacin is strange. Sometimes the same dose causes almost no flush, and other times it's so much I can't stand it.

I went from hdl 8 to hdl 52.... how you ask ???4 short months of strict diet and alot of cardio! no AAS. real life advice!

More cardio, don't smoke, don't drink, no sat fats

saturated fats increase both HDL and LDL. They increase total cholesterol.

Trans fats (which are polyunstaturated) decrease HDL and increase LDL. They are the worst.

Its been said In a few responces but What worked for me was therapudic doses of fish oil 20 g ED ,primrose oil And the Most important NIACIN every morning flush free unless you like being red and itchy

Vitamin B5 (panthethine) is also great (good for reducing sebum production as well)

Got info to back that up?

Flush free won't help.

for reference:

lauric acid = saturated fat, found in coconuts, etc
myristic acid = saturated fat, found in palm kernel oil, minor amount in dairy products, meats, etc
Palmitic acid = saturated fat, found in palm oil, dairy products, meat
stearic acid = saturated fat, most common in animals fat (including humans)
trans 18:1 = elaidic acid, a trans fat found in trace amounts naturally and in a lot of processed stuff
cis 18:1 = oleic acid, monounsaturated fat found in olive oil and other vegetable oils
18:2 = linoleic acid- polyunsaturated (omega6) fat, very common in vegetable oils
