Hey Eclipse, I was at the Cal and I sat with the judges and I remember you. At the Cal this year what stood in your way, as you know I think, was conditioning. If you are planning on moving up to the light heavies you will probably need more than one year, I suggest that you put on 10 more lbs and get in superb condition and you should be a very good middle wt.
Your biggest weak points are these that i saw: hamstring bellies (need more thickness), back thickness, and a little more quad flare. However, without you being in the kind of condition that you really needed to be in, it is a little hard to see where other weaknesses may show up. Keep plugging away, you are on the right track. Oh, and one more thing...posing! This will hold you back also, you just didn't hit your poses very well. It was often hard to see what you really had because you simply didn't show it off well. The rule is...if you don't show it...you don't have it. Work with someone on posing. The best in this sport don't have perfect physiques, but they always know how to show off their physiques to the fullest advantage. Good luck bro.

Thanks Tad!
Hey Tad, thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to help me out. I know I mentioned it to you before, but your clients at the Cal looked awsome so congrats again! I was thinking along the same line as far as my needs so its good to know I am on the right track. I think I weighed in at around 168 so i was thinking that if I add 10 lbs of muscle and drop the water and fat I should be in pretty good shape and still make weight in the middles. I figure about a year but if i happens sooner i will hit the stage again sooner. I definetly didn't put the effort into posing that I should have. I will be working on that with another competitor from the cal over the course of thew next year. Thanks again for the critique, and hopefully I will see you at a show again in the near future.

No problem eclipse, you should do well if you fix these things. And you will for sure see me at your next show. I am at most of the Cal shows and all the major ones across the country. Keep up the good work, remember this sport is a process. Enjoy your journey, you will someday look back and remember when you did this...and you should take care to foster good memories of your process.
