Good evening all...Well I decided to jump in the transformation contest and see what I can do with this 44 year old body. I'm in the process of shedding some body fat and hardening up when the contest started. I will update this log a couple of times a week.

Tonight I will just get my pics up and a link to my log in the official thread. Tomorrow when I have time, I will give a little background on myself and what my plan training and nutrition wise will be.

The posing sucks in the pics...I dont know anything about that..LOL...And the weird facial expression...ugh..lol

Wow this week just flew by....Been easing into my program this week with diet. Training is always on point, but the fucking diet is the problem and has always been. I love to eat pizza, pasta, burgers, fries and of course cookies a couple of times a week. So I slowly cut that shit out this past week.

A little background: Been training for about 20 years am 44 years old now. Highest body weight with pretty good shape was about 265 back in 2003.

Im a little over 6 foot tall but dont know my weight. I have not been on a scale in about 3 years because it was making me mental...lol...Now that Im older and wiser ...lol...I prefer to go by the way I look and feel.

My Training for the contest will be the same as always, hard and intense.

I train 4 days per week:
Mon: Back and Calves
Tues: Chest and Biceps
Wed: off
Thurs: Legs and Calves
Fri: Shoulders and Arms

Im not planing on doing any cardio, since I work outside all day doing manual labor.

Diet for program is:
I'll eat the same things everyday, with a refeed meal Sunday for dinner.

Meal 1: Shake that has egg whites, scoop of micellar casein, oatmeal, banana.

Meal 2: Apple, 1 tablespoon Almond butter, and quest bar

Meal 3: 10 oz of chicken or turkey with lettuce and dijon mustard (cup of rice or pasta on training days)

Meal 4: Pre training meal....4 Wasa rye crackers, 1/4 cup blueberries, 2 tablespoons almond butter

Meal 5: 10 oz chicken or turkey, baked potato, green salad with balsamic vinager

Meal 6/ Night snack: micellar casein protein shake with cup of dry popcorn

Some more info...

As I said I train 4 days a week....I have been doing a lot of drop sets on all body parts and I am liking it a lot. Been doing it for about 3 months now. I keep my reps anywhere from 8 to 12 with some higher reps here and there for upper body. Legs are always 15 to 20 reps for all exercises.

For instance tonight I did Back and calves

Started of with:

Hammer high row: 3 sets and then the 4th set was a drop with 2 drops..
drop set went 15, 12, 12 reps

Smith machine barbell rows: 3 sets then 4 th set was drop set with 1 drop

Mountain Dog rows with the Tbar: 2 sets then 3rd set was a drop set with 1 drop

Hammer row machine upper handles: 2 sets X 15 reps...pulled a plate then 3rd set was 30 reps

Dumbell Shrugs: 3 x 15reps

Calves:

Seated Calves: 4 sets 15 reps straight sets


Nutritional supplements I take are:

Coq10 (ubiquinol)

Baby aspirin

Raw food vitamin ( garden of life)

Esssential oils by doterra...Digest blend,wild orange, lemon in a capsule

"Supplements" are the usual "precontest" supps, nothing crazy just a little help...;)

Nutrition is tough for me....I hate eating "plain" food but am trying to think of it as just fuel for the body these next 10 weeks. Will be monitoring how I look and make adjustments as I go along....Might have to add some more carbs on some days and adjust protein levels up a little.
