Hello,

Though I'd start a blog on here to get as much feed back as possible along my journey!

I started training about 18 months ago with my boyfriend xjpx.
I did my first show this year in May, and came 3rd in the body fitness category. I had to diet down to fit the category, but was stil slightly too muscular, so my goal is the new Physique class, which I'm really excited about :p

Im doing the BPC UK Champs power lifting comp this year in early September, then the focus after that is to compete late next year in 2013.

I recently got in touch with Shelby, and have arranged to start working with him for a year once my power lifting is over....I cant wait to get started, as I know he can bring amazing results!

Here are a few pictures....
The first two are 4 weeks out from the stage,
And the next two were taken a couple of days before the body fitness show


My training is currently a push pull leg split, with alternating dynamic and max effort days. The assistance work is performed in a rest pause fashion.

My plan over the next few months is to gain more muscle all over, but focussing on glutes and hams to match my quads.

rest assured i'll be training as hard as i possibly can so when we start i'll be carrying more muscle and hopefully not much more body fat...i think that should give us a good starting point :)

ive been following your thread and am super impressed! you look amazing! seeing your progress was the definately the deciding factor about contacting Shelby....and yep the new physique category is where its at haha :D

My session last night was an upper body mix...i usually do a push pull leg split, but had to change things up this week to fit everything in...

here it is....
reverse band bench - 132.5kgs x 1, 120kgs x 3, 100kgs x 5
low to high cable cross widow maker - 18 reps
chest stretch DC style - 17.5kg dumbells held for 52 seconds
lat pulldowns - rest/pause - 150lbs x 6,4,2 = 12 reps, into 10 second static hold
dip machine - rest/pause - 82.5kgs x 11,5,3 = 19 reps, into 8 second static hold
tricep stretch DC style - holding rope attachment on the cable x 55 seconds
rack pulls - 150kgs x 1 - no straps, mixed grip
hanging lat stretch DC style - 30 seconds

i didnt quite get the lock out on the 132.5kg bench, so i will be working on more dynamic bench work to get me out of the sticking point easier...heres a link to my 130kg reverse band bence from a few weeks ago...

the widow maker chest exercise will be in every push session from now on in order to improve my upper chest as much as possible...

i was happy with my rack pulls...im trying to get used to lifting more weight without straps, so i will be able to transfer that grip strength over to my deadlifts for the power lifting comp...

Leg session tomoro which im looking forward too.... :D

tonight was LEGS...had a really good session!

At the moment my one rep max squat is 135kgs, so am working just over 50% 1RM bar weight with band tension on top for my dynamic squats, the video is of the final set, was very pleased with the speed today

70kg dynamic box squat - YouTube

I start my dynamic effort leg day with glute ham potentiation work, as recruiting my glutes is hard for me because im very quad dominant.

The warm up consisted of reverse hypers, and band assisted glute ham raises

dynamic squats - 70kgs + red bands, 5 by 2
calves - DC style - 110kg (leg press machine) x 8
GHR - (rest/pause) purple band x 11,5,3, 15 second hold
russian leg curls - red band x 11
seated calf ham curl - x 4 - NEW MOVE, we found a video of flex lewis doing them so gave it a go, i really felt they hit the meat of the hamstring nicely
hamstring stretch DC style
hack squat - 100kgs x 6, 82.5kgs x 11
quad stretch DC style

rest day tomoro...then push on Friday!

I havent gone into any details on my diet yet...so will list this now....

Training day:
Meal 1 - 40p, 8f, 0c
Meal 2 - same
Meal 3 - same
Meal 4 - (1.5 hours pre training) 40p, 35c, 0f
Pre and during wo - 40p, 35c, 0f
Post wo - 40p, 45c, 0c
Meal 6 (1 hour post training) - 40p, 35c, 0f
Meal 7 - 40p, 8f
45 mins pre bed - Gabba and ZMA

Non - training day:
Meal 1 - 40p, 8f, 0c
Meal 2 - same
Meal 3 - same
Meal 4 - 40p, 50c, 0f
Meal 5 - 40p, 8f, 0c
Repeat til bed
45 mins pre bed - Gabba and ZMA

Next week, provided my caliper readings havent increased very much, i'll up my food intake peri workout
 
Cracking session tonit again, I am corinnes training partner and damn she can dig deep, for someone that doesn't wear wraps, belts, straps or Anythin I don't know anyone that can outlift her, the raw comp she is doing in sept will be a great platform to show that :)
