using low volume, really focusing on increasing strength.



so far, things have been going very well. numbers are going up every workout, and pumps are out of this world.

I took a page out of Jordan Peter's book, only doing 2 sets per lift, so I can really focus on putting all of my intensity into those 2 sets.

i feel that doing that that, and focusing on increasing the weight every workout will yield substantial gains over the next few months.

got a slight strain in my groin last week, so im having to adjust leg training.


with that said, the squat machine felt really good... really felt it deep in the muscle

I did very slow negatives, and quads were pumped far more than with the movements I was doing prior to the strain.. so I will stick with this and see how things progress.

decided im going to start doing RDL's on leg day for booty gains instead of rack pulls on back day... we shall see how this goes



pump was amazing, especially after the RDL's. it hurt to sit down because doing so had a slight stretching effect on my glutes

Those are the "money" sets anyway with the remainder having significantly diminishing returns. I read where one person attributed that to why high frequency can work. Doing 2 heavy work sets on Mon - Thurs (for example) compared to just 4 heavy work sets on Monday. Instead of getting the diminishing returns on the subsequent sets, you get two days of "biggest bang for you buck."

wicked pump, especially in rear delts... where I really need it lol


back felt great, I really like doing single-arm rows on the smith (standing somewhat parallel to the bar and rowing it like a DB).

the bar is on a track, so it doesn't flow through the air freely like a DB would.. this added friction adds to the resistance and makes it easier for me to feel a contraction in the working muscles.


doing hypers while using Drol/tbol/winstrol mix is pretty brutal

muscles are looking a lot fuller



thinking I should start doing a little bit of cardio for heart health lol, 20 minutes of walking, we shall see :cool:

decided that im going to be hitting hamstrings and glutes to start my leg workouts... since the squat machine at my gym is pretty amazing, and doesn't require any stabilization, needing to bail out of a rep, or anything like that.


really allows me to grind out the reps using just my quads, and to use really slow negatives.

everything felt solid, strength on the RDL's was excellent. lower back pumps weren't too unbearable... limiting the work sets to 2 per session helps stave them off.


quads were on fire at the end of each squat set... definitely not something that I got from a standard free squat. im going to see about increasing the reps to 20 before I add too much more weight to the stack.

I know 250 may not sound like a lot... but this is bodybuilding... not weightlifting ;)


the split squats felt great. lit the glutes and teardrop up pretty well. I will likely be increasing the reps on these as well.

excellent training day. weights were up on all lifts, and was able to really get a solid contraction on each movement.


I decided to change the routine around a bit, and start back with the bent-over cable row. that's really the movement that I feel the best.

it's like a bent over row, but with two individual handles that really allow you to pull back on and get a solid contraction in all parts of the back.


pump was incredible in both my shoulders and back
 
dude....brachialis, brachii for bis ONLY...
everything hammer or reverse grip....

and i hate you, your blood pressure is perfect.
