Is the lantus solostare equivalent to humalog R,?

I have vials of humalog but would like to use and have the convience of the pen that the lantus comes in.

Lantus is a slow release insulin which is much different than the fast acting.

No. Lantus is a slow release insulin that lingers in the body for up to 30 hours. Humalog/novalog/apidra are all fast acting insulin.

I am diabetic as well and used to use Lantas. Huge difference between the two. Make sure to do a lot of research before you dip the insulin.
