Why am I getting more out then what i mixed?

This may be stupid question, but I have to ask it.
I noticed after mixing some cjc up that I had more then what I put in to the vial.
I mixed 1ml of bac water and filled up one insulin pin which was 100 units.
Then I filled another to about 85 units.

I thought the stuff inside the vials just dissolved.
I'm wondering now how do we measure stuff accurately if everything is like this or am I just doing something wrong here?

I think there must of been something in this vial before I filled it already.
Im tossing it. Tried this on another and didn't have same problem

Are you saying you put 1ml of water in a vial of cjc and when you drew it all back out you got 1.85ml back?

No matter what you are dissolving you will never have 100% the same liquid initially used. You know anything you dissolve has mass. Mass displaces volume. I see a lot of people not account for this in home brewing. Though with a 5mg vial of cjc, the displacement shouldn't be as high as .85ml if that's what you are saying happened. I think it would only be .005ml

it was that much. thing is I didn't really look at the vial when I mixed in the bac water so I assume this thing had water or some other liquid in it already somehow.
I just tossed it, no biggie
