Why the hell would you want to do that?!? :banghead: Slin pins are cheap and easy to get. I can get 100 29ga 1/2" pins at Walmart for $12.00 no questions asked. At least in my state.

Never use slin in a normal syringe. You could be injecting 10IU more than you think you are. Slin needles are called slin needle for a reason.

No, it would be extremely hard to determine how many IU's you're going to be injecting. Get slin pins, they're there for a reason.

Can be done but be careful, cause saying humulin r can't make you go hypo is definitely WRONG... not as fast as humalog, but still hitting the bloodstream very quick, like 30 min after you pin it... and yes, if you fail to dose it correctly (which is probable with a 3CC syringe), you'll feel it the hard way...

Make sure you've got carbs/amino's and plenty of them, just in case.

Or much better option, buy slin pins...

I have done it but prob might as well just wait til you get slin pins couple days waiting anit gonna kill you. but like I said I have done it when I had to. not end of the world but def not as precise as a slin pin.

This guy posted a thread yesterday asking if he can go to bed as he was tired but had just injected 10IU Humulin R. Let's not encourage him as he probably isn't the sort to play about too much with slin and be ok

Anyone else sure use the syringe and get the dose about right or maybe a few IU's off. I have a feeling this guy will probably put an extra 30IU in by mistake and inject it about midnight!

Dont even think about doing that. The pins are not accurate enough. Just the tip of one of those needles (3cc) is probably about 2-3 iu's of insulin, so you would have to take that into account, if you filled the syringe to .2 it would probably be more like 23 iu's of slin.

Just dont do it, besides when you inject it into the muscle it changes the timing of when it kicks in which would cause more confusion. You could end up shooting a little more slin then you wanted to and it could end up hitting you a lot faster than expected... And with slin that could be a disaster.

Okay...I could possibly see using a reg syringe if you were in a pinch. But to plan on using one is not a bright idea at all. Hell, I use slin pins now exclusively for oils, so now when I cycle slin I'm always good to go.
