I posted this question elsewhere but am curious of the opinions of the knowledgeable guys on here...
Why is GH and insulin use so common and effectively used in bodybuilding but seldom even considered in powerlifting?
Perhaps not the higher doses of GH used for hypertrophy but surely some increased recovery, joint health, a touch of fat burning to allow more calories to be consumed and a little hypertrophy on the side would benefit right?
And how could increased nutrient partitioning be bad for anyone? One of the problems I have with powerlifters (as a powerlifter) is thinking because there is not a physique judgment component to the sport that nutrition is a major after thought. Instead of drinking 2 full sugar Monsters, a half gallon of chocolate milk, etc that I have seen wouldn't similar intraworkout nutrition to that of a bodybuilder of equivalent size combined with a sensible insulin protocol yield even better results?
Maybe I am biased and enjoy being a "powerbuilder". Aka someone who likes to be big AND strong AND enjoy lots of good food.
Just curious as to thoughts and experiences.
