WTF: Telemarketing from a peptide company?

So, I get this telephone call from a peptide company today. Ask for me by name, and want to tell me about a sale coming up and that they will be emailing me a coupon code and want to verify my email address! They read it off correctly but I declined and said it wasn't me.

They are not a board sponsor so I have not listed the name. Anyone else have this happen? Seems weird/sketchy.

Yes. It happened to me a couple weeks ago. They are a former board sponsor that changed their name. Talk about a company looking for trouble with the FDA/DEA. If I'm not mistaken, they were in trouble in the past when using their former name.

someone today called me telling about having supplement store having a sale and they said they had my information by my giving it to me and they read my email to me correctly and I told them that they had the wrong email and I "corrected" them.

Hopefully this doesn't happen with peptide companies.
