failing an igf-1 test and hgh stim test

Hypothetically wondering if there is anything that would cause a person to fail both of these such that they would be forced to go on hgh replacement? how long does it take to get IGF-1 levels down? hypothetically of course..........

You pretty much have to be in the low 100's for igf test to be considered low hgh levels. I have a script for gh from my endo because my igf levels were in the low 100's. Most health insurance will not cover hgh for hrt or anti-aging purposes. The ones that do are the top of the line PPO insurance like mine but only cover about 20%. The rest you have to pay out of pocket.

You are not going to be able to make it happen. Severe starvation and i mean prolonged severe starvation, muscle loss will lower IGF-1 but that is not how you get a script for GH anyways. An endo will see a low IGF-1 and will want to know the CAUSE. So they will do a GH stimulation test and check your thyroid to check your other pituitary functions along with a cortisol level. Since causes of GH deficiency are all panhypopituitarism which means it affects all hormones coming from pituitary it wont look right when only your IGF is low but your thyroid and cortisol are all normal lol.

You can go to an anti-aging clinic and if you are right age they will prescribe you low dose 1-3iu daily of GH but most people cant afford it. Depending on which pharmacy you go it will cost $2-3K monthly for just 3iu daily of Humatrope.

Sounds like you guys looked into this as well. I was hoping something like somatostatin could be used. I was under the impression from my DR. that I need to have low IGF-1 and then fail a stim test for the insurance to cover it.

Nope. Insurance doesn't cover shit when it comes to anti-aging/hrt for hgh. Only time insurance will fully cover hgh is if you have HIV/AIDS.
