Hey guys...looking for some advice when it comes to deadlifting. I know 1rm calculators are just estimates, but there seems to be a large discrepancy between weights I can rep and my actual max. The other day I set a PR of 351 for 8 reps...calculator says I should be well above 400 lbs, but I can't seem to break my PR of 391. Any advice on why there is a discrepancy? I can squat 326 regulation and bench 240 regulation.

Those 1RM calculators have never worked for me, especially once you get into those rep ranges. In the 2-3 rep range they seem to be pretty close. But 6 reps and above they have never been close in my case.

They're accurate on squat and bench press for me, but with deadlifting it seems it really depends a lot on the day.

Check this out Richard really helped me get my deadlift up when i first started powerlifting

Did some of the stuff he talks about this evening and hit 381 easily(max is 391). Really focused on loading my posterior and it helped tremendously. Normally anything about 95 percent and I'm shaking...lol. Went for 401 and just missed right around the hip transition. Maybe next time when fresh....
