'Stairway To Heaven Hike' Is Totally Epic, Totally Illegal And Totally Beautiful

And you have to go to Pearl Harbor. Go out to the Arizona if the weather permits. It's a cool place, until you realize that 3000 Americans died right where you're standing.

I grew up on Oahu and it really depends what you want. As others have said, Pearl Harbor is very cool to visit because of the history surrounding it. There are a ton of different beaches if that is your thing. I like going to the North Shore and going to one of the beaches there as they are somewhat more quiet and peaceful than going to the ones in Waikiki. Tons of good food, depends on what you are looking for. Feel free to send me a PM as well.

Bro. Been a resident for two-years now. Check out: all of the Northshore (cafe haleiwa for food is a must), bonsai pipeline (north shore), roadside rotisserie chicken/shrimp trucks, Pearl Harbor, hanauma bay, lanikai/kailua beaches, Polynesian cultural center, go paddle boarding, kayaking to the mokes, ko olina coves, and try all the great food. Waimanalo is a beautiful beach where you can camp- that's a definite recommendation. You Military?

Golfing is f-ing amazing here too! If you need specific cuisine recommendations, just ask bro. Get your Shaka ready. We also have some delicious local vodka and rum! Great hiking (try koko head and stairway to heaven). A nice and easy hike is the pillbox in lanikai- which will have an amazing view at the top.

Avoid certain elements near the west side beaches (waianae). Traffic sucks so be ready for potentially long waits. You will have a blast here dude.

Thanks for the replies guys!! Overman, Any good places to eat close to
Ala moana blvd ? Thanks for all your suggestions as we'll bro!

Relax and chill, don't try to do and see everything in a week.

Aloha! I'll echo the suggestion of not cramming tooooooo many activities while you are here. That's a guaranteed way to leave feeling exhausted as opposed to recuperated or recharged. As far as food, if you like moderately-fancy restaurants, a place to visit is the Pineapple Room at the ala moana mall. Now, it's kinda weird in that it's located in a damn macys department store but it's phenomenal food. They have a 5 course dinner for $75 that's paired with some nice wines. California sushi near the ala moana theater is pretty good too. Doraku's on kapiolani has great sushi and sake but a little pricey. If you go further down into Waikiki, rum fire is a fun place. Hei's steakhouse is awesome but a little pricey. If you like wine, there is a place near the moana pacific condos that has an excellent selection and cheap prices at certain times.

Before I continue, give me some price ranges. You'll definitely want some hawaiian cuisine along with some of our local fancy restaurants.
