Nobody in my family EVER had heart problems it WAS the steroids I took. Anythime you put a artficial drug in your body your takin a chance. Yes, he said he ate a ton of red meat and not much in the way of vegetables and fruits.

He was very vocal about blaming his bad health on steroids, HGH, duretics and drugs.

a) the responsible guys who think things out will take this death as a distinct warning that they MUST get regular bloodwork, watch their diet, do cardio, maybe even get whole body scans and do everything they can to keep healthy if they choose to use anabolics and gh.

b) Others will convince themselves that this is from
1) red meat
2) he weighed 300
3) it must have been a genetic disposition

so they will rationalize this is a fluke that has nothing to do with them and they will keep doing their thing blasting the turkey baster with the thought process of "I feel ok, and look good on the outside, so I must be ok on the inside"

Sorry to hear that. I first became interested in bodybuilding back in the eighties, and Mike was prominent in the contests and magazines at that time.

DC, with your knowledge, how much would you say that GH exacerbates the issues that Matarazzo suffered from, and heart conditions in general?

At least Mike has the brains to come to terms with that it was the drugs and not some silly excuse as so many casual AAS users tend to do. He's a good dude and I enjoyed the years he competed. Others will just blame the weather or the government fluoride in the water or not eating grass fed beef as to why he died.
