Insomnia from coq10

Like the title says, has anyone else experienced this? I've been taking 200mg ed (which is on the high side) just for general health purposes. I'm experiencing seriously bad insomnia. Some nights it takes me 3 hours to go to sleep and I'm averaging 3-5 hours a night because I obviously can't sleep all day. I'm not married to coq10 so I will happily drop it, I just wanted to isolate that this is the cause and something else underlying might not be causing this. Thanks guys.

Dude dosage up to 3000mg coq 10 are used for some condition including lou gherig disease.

You're really far from it 200mg is regular dosage. It's what I use it keeps blood pressure in check and it's good for the heart/overall health.

Try some high quality magnesium supplement (magnesium chelate I like 3caps magnesium glycinate) it will do wonder for your sleep for a few dollars and has tons of benefit for health.

Yes, taking it at night can keep you awake. I had the same problem so I googled it and found it does. Stick to morning and afternoon dosing.

I use idebenone, which is similar, I find it best to do my last dose at least 3-4 hours pre bed if not more.

coq10 is used to increase energy for one thing much like B vitamins so morning would be a good time to take it if it bothering you.

Thanks guys! I have been doing mostly morning dosing, but I could either be very sensitive to it or it could be related to its very long half life (I read that it was over 30 hours).
