Vaccines and government!

Share your opinions on vaccines and the government tightening their requirements. Personally I'm not necessarily against vaccines as they can be useful to prevent massive outbreaks of some diseases. However we all know that they are also not effective in many cases and can actually make people sick. My main problem is local, state, and federal government pushing a pro-vaccine agenda and the guise of "public safety" while using data generated from studies done by the very pharmaceutical companies manufacturing these vaccines.

is the government actually mandating vaccines? I had not heard that.. I remember the whole scare about the government "mandating" the shot for the swine flu and everyone was going to die from it/government mind control/poisoning us...turned out to not be a big deal at all.


I was vaccinated for measles, mumps, and polio as far as I know...maybe typhoid...it's been a while. Haven't gotten a flue shot in years though.


it's weird how we are having all of these measles and mumps outbreaks after all of those illegal immigrant children flooded in from mexico...the timing is just so... coincidental...it's weird.


maybe the whole "open border" policy should be examined first...but that's another discussion altogether.

I've basically had the same vaccines as you and also haven't had a flu shot in years, and I haven't had an real viral sicknesses since I was a child in the 80's. I live in New Jersey and our state government of is about to pass a bill making it a requirement for people to verify attendance and membership at a religious institution in order to recieve religious exemptions when their children begin school. This tramples right over the first ammendment. So yes, governments are making efforts to require vaccinations. This troubles me as a citizen and a parent.

Yes i believe that everyone that does not have a MEDICAL contraindication should be vaccinated. Im probably more vaccinated then most ( some military are probably more) and i get flu shot every year and every few years I also get my titers done to make sure im actually immune.

My kids will also get all vaccines without hesitation. There is no conspiracy. Thats just something that people who dont understand the science behind it come up with. I wouldnt risk my family if i believe that nonsense for a moment.

I had this discussion with a person at a bbq yesterday ( weather was amazing!) and they were VERY antivaccine and anti radiation etc etc. And they didnt even understand what an antibody actually was or how vaccines worked. These are the people who talk about " free radicals" and "antioxidants" without a clue of what they are talking about.


1. Here is a really great BASIC book on the immune system. Just the facts. You need to have a well rounded understand of a topic before having a true opinion, unfortunately as with most things people speak before they have a clue.

2. You will always get a few doctors who dont vaccinate their kids..but then again 1/2 docs did graduate on the bottom half of their med school class. But seriously most physicians do, the vast majority of peds wouldnt hesitate. And if your child gets ill from a preventable disease you should be to blame. If you get sick from a preventable disease dont expect society to pay for your treatment.

3. Yes there are people with preexisiting conditions who I would not recommend certain vaccines too. Those are rare. Yes occasionally people can have a rare allergic reaction to a vaccine...its rare and the pros outweight the cons. No they do not cause autism, i cant believe people still think that. Generations to come are going to look back and laugh at this time just as we do at people from 1910 who were treating syphillis with mercury and were so happy when finally they found arsenic to work and thought it to be so much better.

No flu shots for this guy. I use a thing called the immune system. Ha everybody I know that got a flu shot the last two years still got sick. My son got really sick from the flu shot so no more flu shots for my family. If we want more Mercury We will just have to eat more fish. Lol

I nor my wife or two children have ever had the flu shot and (knock on wood) we haven't suffered form the virus. I haven't conducted enough due-diligence to say that the flu shot is good or bad, but I am just speaking form our experience as a family. In a sense I believe being sick has to do with several factors including your stress level etc.

Back in 99 I had the flu pretty bad and during that time I was managing a law practice of about 100 Type A personalities and I am sure that didn't help. When I look back at that time I was extremely stressed out, but everything else in my life was and always has been driven my clean diet, fitness pro-active approach with vitamins etc...

Anyway I don't agree with the Government at either a Federal or State level on forcing vaccines. I should back to NH (Live Free or Die)

I AM against any government, local, state, or otherwise passing any ordinance or law restricting my right to choose to vaccinate my own child. I don't necessarily believe there is an inherent conspiracy and I have a decent understanding of how the human immune system works and not all of these vaccines are geared towards fatal illnesses. So why vaccinate against something that your own body can fight off on its' own? And I don't believe that vaccines cause autism. My main issue again is government dictating the health care of me and my family.

haha. Physicians have to take something called Step 2 CS which is like patient interaction and communication skills. English speaking proficiency is a good portion of the exam. Its just a money making scheme but not too long ago it was to prevent people mainly from other countries who couldnt communicate with patients. I passed but got a 1 out of 10 on empathy lol. Go figure lol

Good post and i agree with all of that. I also dont believe that the government should be able to tell you to wear a seat belt, not smoke in your own home or even shoot heroin BUT dont come to the hospital and expect people to fix you when did this to yourself and rolled the dice. Same things goes for health insurance. Dont want...no problem! But if you need to go to a hospital why should someone else pay for it. The starving people cant just walk into wegmans and get a roast beef sandwhich. If you choose not to plan ahead that is a choice.

Then again i also believe that we shouldnt have social security. I think people should save responsibly there entire life rather then have the gov do it for them. And if people didnt save then society shouldnt have to foot the bill.

I know sometimes i take a hard stance on things but being serious it all comes down to benefits and risks. Like no i dont get the PNA vaccine because i personally feel that i dont need it. If i were to get my spleen removed I would or ill get it when i get older but right now I dont feel i need it. Doesnt meet i dont get PNA and die but i personally feel that a normal immune system can fight it. Can a normal immune system fight some of the more terrible disease.... in my opinion no but my giving yourself preformed antibodies you have a sporting chance.

I don't like mercury and other toxic shit going into my body. My mother is 73 and hasn't had a vaccine since she was a kid. I can't remember the last time she had a flu. I haven't had a vaccine since i was 5 and the last flu i had was 11 years ago.

Big Pharma that pushes vaccines hired the same firm that big tobacco used during the "tobacco is safe era". I have two close and separate friends who's healthy kids were vaccinated and an hour later were rushed to the ER due to major seizure. Now they have both been diagnosed with Dervae syndrome. Thier kids are literally dieing due to 200 seizures a day now. It's fuckinh heart breaking and the vaccines that caused it.
Point is that they are not as effective and safe as majority think. Big pharma will never admit to that fact, but if you read the vaccine incerts which you never get is crazy!! Everything from diarrhea to instant death and that's just scratching the surface.

I say freedom of choice. My children will be vaccinated. I have done plenty of reading about vaccines. I will not be putting my child at risk. Look at those children involved in that outbreak at Disney World. Wonder what they were thinking about vaccines as their kid lay sick in the hospital. Or let's ask some of the parents who lost children years ago when some of these illnesses were more prevalent. Now some are making a comeback. But like I said freedom of choice. I choose to vaccinate my children so I don't have to worry every where we go.

You better study more on Measles. It is really not a life threatening disease. Hardly anyone dies from it. You chances are the Flu killing you is a lot greater. That outbreak was not as bad as they said either, but they use plenty of scare tactics to make you think it was. In 2011 we had a bigger outbreak at 222 and no one die. Mostly a sanitary thing.

I believe in the vaccines for the more serious stuff that used to be epidemics in this country.
I firmly believe in the required ones for visiting certain countries.... without them you would have a high chance of contracting the horrible crap that the poor citizens of these countries get because the vaccines aren't available to them.

I will never and have never gotten a flu shot. I do not understand how a vaccination for a virus that varies in strains and mutates every season could possibly have any ability to prevent contracting the flu. I think people that get them just make themselves more susceptible to the flu.

Sounds like maybe you have ANOTHER reason to move away from the socialist republic of NJ. Sorry if you like the high property taxes but there are only maybe 3 other states that can match it

While this is true, there were 2 versions of the polio vaccine, one with "live" and one with dead virus. The live version is what caused all the cases. Did the other version prevent any cases, I`m not sure.


My son was born premie at 2lbs. They wanted to give him synergis for RSV. I asked the Dr. what was the medium used to culture the vaccine. He said he could inquire with the drug rep that gives the shots, at a cost of $1k each for a series of 5 shots! I found that, like all vaccines it has some form of foreign DNA, synergis is 10% mouse DNA. A virus needs a host cell to live, where do they come from? Monkeys, pigs, even aborted human fetus. The problem I found with this through reading many studies and accidental finds, other animals carry different viruses, some have not yet been identified. That foreign virus gets cultured, grows and is injected into people the same way as say the measles virus they are trying produce a vaccine for.

There of course is not 100% proof, but there is much speculation this is how HIV was introduced to the human population, through the hepatitis vaccines that were first given to the "high risk" gay population in major areas like NY, chicago, LA, in the 1970`s.

My 2 kids do not have any vaccines and were just enrolled in public school with no problem.
