Candida?? What do you guys know about it?

Hey everyone,
I haven't been active here in a while just visit and read mostly when I have time. Still the best board around!
I'm fairly certain I have a bad case of Candida over growth. I have 90% of the symptoms, including toenail fungus, athlete's foot, jock itch, brain fog, etc.. plus it was present in a blood test screening and a self saliva test indicates it as well.
I was hoping to see if anyone here has had this issue and what they did to get it under control.

good to see you around. I have not had that before but I`ve read it comes from having a bit of an acidic environment going on. Try and get some spirulina, drink it twice a day with OJ, eat lots of greens, lots of water.

Check out benefits of oil of oregano or ADP for 2 weeks form Biotics research. So effective, you'll need to get a shit load of probiotics in you afterwards/ Cinnamon.5 tsp 2x day is good for the sugar spikes, which are potentially causing the overgrowth.

Go to the Dr. and get a script for an oral anti-fungal medication. You should be cleared up in a matter of days. Just a heads up though, some are liver toxic.

Extended antibiotics use (though I try to avoid them as much as I can) always causes a build up of candida in my body, the first symptoms being "a white tongue" (and the usual bad smell that goes along... ), and poor digestion/loose stools...

If you wanna get rid of it quick, get your hands on some posaconazole and drastically reduce your carbs (candida albicans somehow "grow" on sugars)... it should get better in a week or so!

Here are a few things you can do to help:
1) Reduce sugars, as sugar feeds the bacteria. No fruit at first, then fruit is limited to two low-glycemic choices. No milk, which has the sugar lactose that tends to promote yeast overgrowth and in some cases, because milk can contain antibiotics, can promote overgrowth. No yeast-containing foods such as alcohol, peanuts, melons

2) Kill the bacteria. You can use caprylic acid (this is a staple to break it down), antifungal herbs, berberine, grapefruit seed extract and olive leaf extract

3) Repopulate your gut with good bacteria. Get on some probiotics. You may also want to considered adding flaxseeds, psyllium and chia seeds to help with bowel movements. Fermented foods are great for repopulating the gut with good bacteria as the contain prebiotics, try adding kimchi, sauerkraut and you can benefit from the good bacteria in yogurt and kefir.

4) Support you body's natural mechanisms for detoxification. Do everything you can to improve liver health. Take liver support supplements, drink warm lemon water, avoid things hard on your liver.

All of these should help reduce or eliminate the candida growth, but it will take time
