Hey fellas.... Question for you guys with home gyms.... what's the best thing to use to keep metal railings nice and slick? My crossover machine gets rough so I spray it with WD-40.'''.problem is it's leaves a nice puddle on the floor after a bit.... I'm thinking maybe car wax???

I prefer using a dry lubricant and use a Teflon spray and "Super Slick Slick Stuff" to lubricate guide rods, pulleys and chains in my home gym. I use SAE-20 weight non-detergent motor oil (3-in-1 oil works too) to lubricate barbell sleeves. I only use WD-40 to wipe down my barbells to inhibit rust.

Thank you brother!!!!!That's not even half of it...... I got a pretty decent setup!..

Thats the best non celebrity or billionaire home gym I've ever seen.

Tri-flow is the best. WD-40 is a solvent. Get the spray Tri-flow and spray onto a rag and then wipe the rails with the rag. No mess that way.

Is that your home garage?? Looks like a freaking warehouse.

It IS a warehouse.....I still consider it a "Home Gym" though.... My boss (63 and is strong like bull) was kind enough to give me space to put all my stuff.... In the summers it gets brutally hot but I prefer to train in the heat than a cush A/C gym.... my next project will be rubber flooring but man that shit is expensive..... even with used flooring I'm looking at a grand

I have rubber flooring for my home gym, funniest thing it looks exactly like the rubber safety floor mats we have at work ;)

On my home machines, I use firearm lubricants, not silcone or dry ones. I feel like the gun lubes work better but that's just what i personally like to go with.

I have horse stall mats on the floor of my home gym. They come 4'x6' and work better for me than the puzzle piece type

I have horse stall mats in my home gym as well. Got the 3/4" interlocking stall mats from Tractor Supply. Cheaper than buying the mats from a gym outlet store.

To the fellas with the horse stall mats.... how much we talkin'?? ballpark??... i'd be trying to cover a 24' x 24' = 576 sq ft.

Just under $2/sq' for 1/2" from Tractor Supply.
