One elk and a deer in archery season down, but it won't last long. Definitely need to drop a elk today!

I love hunting never killed a elk but where I hunt I have gotten some nice whitetail , axis, blackbuck. Should have some pics for you after this week

Love elk. Nice, lean protein. I don't hunt but I have a lot of friends who do. I wish I could though. My buddy goes to Colorado every year to hunt elk.

I'm a big time whitetail guy and usually I have 2-3 in my freezer already. But this year I decided to pass on a lot of deer I probably should have made freezer meat out of. Now these last few hunts I haven't even seen one. So yes the pressure in on for me. Good luck to all the hunters out there.

Up here in Maine you're allowed a deer and bear during rifle season, plus an extra if you bow hunt....so far I haven't gotten anything. A moose too, if you're lucky enough to get drawn for a permit

Usually halfway thru the month if I have no luck I get discouraged and start getting the house ready for winter and give up going out in the woods....its 11* this AM and I'm sitting in the nice warm house enjoying my vacation lol

There's plenty of meat uptown at the grocery store and next door at the butchers lol

Put the buck on the ground opening weekend here in Missouri. Will put a doe or two on the ground for the freezer this weekend.

I use to do the same thing. Now days my theory is if it's brown it's down, u hunting back east? We use to have really good white tale hunting until blue toung hit here

If feel ya there. 13 in Montana snow about 1'. It's not going to be a fun hunt

Got two in the freezer now... One from bow season.

Planned to go out with my brother in-law this week, but he and my nephews each got one over the weekend.

God... I wish we had a second turkey season at this time of year.

Passed a few up during the first part of bow season.
I shot a nice, fat doe within the first 30 minutes of shotgun season.
I still have a firearm tag and two bow tags but I'm going to be holding out for one of three nice bucks I have on trail cam photos.

Yes sir. Passed on several small deer this year while archery hunting. Then tagged two bucks during rifle season. I have another 3 day hunt coming up next weekend. In the twin cities metro area you are allowed unlimited does and fawns (which they encourage you to shoot because we're basically hunting in the city) so hopefully I can knock down a nice mature doe. This year I will have spent roughly 200 hours in the deer stand, my wife is a saint!
