Blood pressure fluctuations

When I'm relaxed sitting in my chair in front of the TV my BP is normal 120/80 But as soon as I get up to do something it will jump up to 140/90
This morning I had a doc appointment to go over some blood work my BP was 150/90
Is this fluctuation normal?
I use a wrist cuff monitor and it's accurate I have taken it with me to my docs office and it was spot on with the docs?

At the doc's many times BP will go up because people are subconsciously nervous and they call that "white coat syndrome".

I don't think it should rise that much just doing something around the house, but it will rise when you get up from laying down or sitting since the heart has to work against gravity.

If you exercise hard for awhile and then take your BP it should actually go down because your blood vessels dilate.

See what your doctor says about the BP. You might need to go on something really mild to keep it down some. Are you on a cycle now? Water retention can cause some of that.

Maybe the blood pressure cuff at the doctor's office was too small and gave an inaccurate reading.

Could happen, but anymore everyone that does mine uses a big cuff and Im not even that big anymore. The med techs seem better educated about it now, maybe its because there are so many big people these days.

Sometimes seeing a doctor will rattle your nerves some and make your BP high. It used to happen to me all the time so my doctor started checking it toward the end of my visit and it has always been lower.

Ya going to the doctor always gets my bp & hr up
As I sit here now after working all day it's 123/77
I'm crusin currently HRT dose
I recently had a ct calcium scan and an echo cardiogram
All good my biggest problem is when I donate blood my my bp & hr go nuts so I guess nothing is actually wrong except my nerves lol

Bp flucuates wildly during the course of the day. Ever eat a really salty meal? Watch it go up. Something pisses you off, goes up. Mild to moderate activity, goes up. I wouldn't worry about it unless your bp is constantly too high even when you are sitting back relaxing.
