**NFL SURVIVOR POOL**

OK so after a few p.m. to Big A I got the go ahead to post this up and see if there is enough interest to set up this pool.

I was thinking either $10 or $20 a person.
Rules would be:
Survivor pool
Each person picks a team that thru think will win(straight up no spread)
If your team wins you move on to the next week. Of your team loses you are out.
You can only use a team once.
(Example: you pick new England to win week 1. Say they win, you move on to the next week but can never use new England as your pick again. They lose you are out of contest.)
Contest keeps going till 1 person Is left.
Or if it comes down to 2 people and they agree to split that can be done as well.
It will be a winner take all (pretty split if 2 parties agree to)
Picks will have to be in by Saturday at noon. Once all picks are in I will release a post listing all the entrants and their picks.
That way we can have the list posted prior to the Sunday games as to show no cheating is done.

That's about it for the rules. We will see of there is enough interest and then we can decide a few other things. Picks will be done thru email I think would be best as thru p.m.'s would fill up and have to delete them to make room where if it's done thru email I can Dave the email so their is no discrepancy as to who picked who.

So what so you guys think?
I'm thinking at least 20 people to make a contest out of it
And then maybe a vote on the entry amount.

Yes definitely.
I would say funds have to be received before your added to contest.
Just to be sure everyone who is in actually paid.
I think it would be fun and depending on how many people we may get a real nice pot.

My option would be to see if we can get one of the mods to volunteer to be treasurer.
I think that would be fair
And as far as collecting the money maybe a mod with a PayPal account or C.I.M. option.
I guess leave that up to a vote or to whoever is the treasurer.
Or if anyone else has some ideas throw them out there see if we can find something to all agree on.

I'm sure we can find a mod that wouldn't mind being treasurer but if not I'm sure we can vote on someone.
Most important thing now is to spread the word and see if we can get enough people to be able to have the contest.
I'm figuring at least 20 to 25 ppl would make it a fun run and from the few posts in the thread already I'd say we have about 5 ppl now.
Also for anyone who posts that they would like to be in also post what you would like/think the entry fee should be.

I know the season doesn't kick off till Sept 11th I believe that's the first set of Sunday games so while we have some time before it starts we also have to give ourselves enough time to find a treasurer/ or vote on a treasurer ad we also have to give ourselves enough time for all the entrants to be able to get their entry fee to the treasurer.
So with that in mind if you would like to have the pool and be in just simply post so in this thread and let's see over the next few days how many people we can get in and then decide the rest.

Also don't forget to post what your vote would be for entry fee.($10, $15, $20, $25)
Example
Say we get 25 ppl with a fee of $20
Pot total would be $500.

Another easy way to go about the cash is whoever we select to keep track of it, there is an app called Venmo which is very easy to use.

Send and receive. Very easy. Literally create an account, link your account you want to use for payment, then say you need to send someone money, you find their username, and send it. Money is sent and received instantly.

Used it quite a few times for fantasy football and others. So at the end, the person who is taking in all the payments, distributes it/sends it to the winner.

So we have roughly 6 or 7
And on another thread member sandpig expressed some interest.
So let's see if we can get some more people and make it worthwhile and if we do then we can iron out the small stuff.
