I have really enjoyed taking this supplement for a while now. It is in the flavored/enhanced BCAA's - I take from TN, and I add extra C-Malate to my powdered muscle BCAA shake which also I add creatine gluconate and Glutamine AKG. Now you mix all that up together into 40 0z water even with added MIO flavoring it tastes terrible.

For additional BP and CV benefits -I have recently been supplementing with 6 grams C-Malate in the morning after breakfast and after lunch and then again in the pre/intra monster shake. there is no powo shake during my cool down after the work out I eat a protein cookie :)

and then drink 50 grams of egg whites.

Now the benefits of the C-Malate I have found are
enormous pumps
reduced DOM
increased energy and reps
better recovery powo

others are reduced BP and of course cialis/viagra like reactions with out the side effects.

The only problem I usually have is the acidity of the supplement. I usually dose my am and pm drink with pomegranate juice with cherry juice concentrate and water but the acid really makes it difficult to get down.
The one positive effect I guess is that the acid in the stomach usually goes away pretty quickly.

How do you guys dose this stuff, any tips on how to buffer the acid or improve the taste?
 
I've always done 6g pre and 6g intra and never really had an issue with the acidity/taste. Could be what I'm mixing it with or maybe my CM is just shit quality (could very well be the case from what I've been hearing).

You have to be careful with supplements brands I have found.
I was "gifted" some bulk supplements off of amazon by a friend was sent L-Arginine, L-glutamine and creatine and all were vastly under dosed by the taste test and results.

TN is where I plan on getting some next order and that will clarify whether or not mine has been legit or not.

I've been using a bulk powder place with the initials PC, they are well known for the nootropics. Have seen some people thinking they are underdosed and whatnot and has me thinking now.
 
I take the bulk citrulline malate powder. I take a scoop and pour it directly into my mouth, then sip water to swallow it down. In fact, this is how I consume all my powders that don't taste good or don't mix well.

ya the taste is very distinctly acetic, but somehow I think I am starting to enjoy it. I didn't start taking it for the unexpected side of super wood, but holy cow it works just as good as cialis with out the dangerous side effects of prolonged long term use of tadalafil.

Are you having extreme pumps with the brand you are currently using?
 
have you guys tried Scivation Xtend? It has the CM already in it. I've always noticed better recovery and other benefits taking it. Not sure if there is enough CM per serving for you guys but it's worth looking into if you haven't already.

was this random bulk, or was it product from"bulk supplements". as i am pretty sure they sell on amazon as well. just curious was wanting to order a few things from there, but your statement makes me hesitate if it is in fact bulk supplements the brand.

I never said "feel" I said taste and results.
Arginine will make you gag if it is potent.
Glutamine has a very unique taste as well.
Neither of the above had anything but a chalky like consistency which led me to believe they were not very pure or cut.
The creatine mono was one I could not disassociate based on taste but after 3 weeks on....no weight gain or strength.

I always mix mine with some citrusy crystal light, like the lemonade.
Hides the flavor very well
 
On the topic of which companies to use for these powders, the three that are great are TN, Bulk Supplements, and Nutricost.
 
2g makes my entire shake sour, can't imagine 6g. I stopped taking it for this reason. Beta alanine, creatine, taurine I add no problem. I've heard cialis is good alternative? Is this true, I take Cialis daily. Can't stand the CM powder.

I don't like the longer side effects of Cialis and I am on the name brand 20 mgs. I get scripted 3 20 mgs a week but may only take 1 a week if that when it is needed for ummm... sex.

I don't take it for workout/pump... never did - I know a lot of people do and not knocking them for it - we are free to do as we please with our bodies.

I really hated "cialis", because of the tadalafil research liquids I took, it hit me way too fast because of the liquid and powder pretty much being in "liquid powder" form, not designed to be taken that way and you get uneven dosing.
I did some experiments where I evap'd the liquid off slowly from research tadalafil from 20 mls @20 mg per ml. When dry the powder weighed over 600 mg. I shook it warmed etc to get it in as fine as soln as I could and even rinsed the syringes prior to the evap. Pretty easy to do just tared in the weight of the stainless steel scoop I used to evap once over a small flame.

I found it to be way more tolerable as a coated tablet - it does help with recovery from sex and the prostate though I have found when used infrequently.

CM definitely works and works well, I can stomach the taste, hell I lived through whey hydrolysates and CEE, I can do this.

I didn't even realize they still made CL powder, may have to try it.
I use the MIO drops for the most part.

supposedly there are specific benefits with the malic acid (which of course affects taste) in the CM over the LC, but I am going to give the LC a try.
 
If you put citrulline malate in some kind of lemonade or similiar tasting water...it will go down very easily...I use 10 grams of it and i use either those true lemon stick packs or one of the flavor systems that you mix with water

What brand was it and was it a mono blend meaning stand alone CM?
Best way is to cut it out and see. Any other supps in your mix like glycerol?

I had some pretty nasty headaches a year ago when I started creatine EE, never had them when younger.
I have ramped up my C-malate use recently and found it to have some of the same sides as cialis, which means a headaches - not sure what causes it but both seem to reduce blood pressure which may manifest itself in how your body reacts to the change in pressure of the blood vessels and the arginine itself. I have pretty much a complete gym in my garage - which means on days off I can train, immediately ingest powo meal and take a nap.
Seemed really fatigued yesterday and headache this morning but it could be due to several factors other than the CM,

It is a mono blend from Myprotein. I guess the quality should be fine. I drink it with whey protein 45-1h before working out. I have used it at least for 3 weeks before, but just changed to pre because I felt that intra was too late for the effects. On a similar note, I have the impression that when drinking it intra, I felt I couldnt breathe properly and got short of breath, but not sure if its because of CM. Other than that, my intra has BCAA, leucine, creatine and HMB.

After posting I thought about what changed from normal and I realized I probably drank less water and more coffee, so the headache is likely due to dehydration.

Anyways, yesterday I cut it out and no problem. Today I will drink it again and train legs. Lets see. Ill post tomorrow.

PS. People from Europe, where do you get your glycerol?
