for those of you who donate blood - how does it affect you -pumps/size/looks/training...u just dont tell them u r taking something? dont they do a free blood test before that and show you results?

It doesn't affect me, other than the time I became anemic from frequent donations.

I donate double red cells and I feel a little less pump and endurance for a couple days , but not as bad as if I have a real long day working in the heat.

It's really not a concern , I would not do it a week before a show or lifting meet

u guys will have to tell them that you are on gear, and they will deny u - I heard....it s the moral thing to do....

A little testosterone does every body good. Juiced blood not only saves lives, it turbo charges them. Hahaha just kidding. I haven't donated blood yet and my hemoglobin is so high is says CRITICAL on my blood work. The doctor says I could have a stroke at any time. I feel guilty donating though. I don't like lying.

It's essential if on high trt and it helps lower bp

Seriously? How long has it been this high? Mind sharing some numbers? :)

or u can drain some urself...it s not a bad idea - after i saw tony Huge video doing it themselves....

The first time I donated, I felt pretty tired for the rest of the day and then was fine after that... Every time I have donated since, I feel pretty normal now, although I don't do anything arduous afterwards... I make it a habit to drink a good amount of fluids and have a decent sized meal afterwards also. Definitely good to keep my Hematocrit levels normal and my BP in a good range...
I don't tell them that I'm on anything... They will test your blood for diseases etc.. If they cant use it, they will get rid of it...

they test for disease, probably drugs too, but not steroids, when i was in an army boot camp, they wanted to test me for gear, and I heard one of the doctors said - "did u check how much s gonna cost to do steroids blood tests", and the other guy responded - yeah around 5K , so they were, ehh forget about it. I was next room , heard everything and just smiled ear to ear...

I need to learn how to do it properly. I drained 120ml but that was using a 10ml syringe so it wasn't the most intelligent means to do things.

Thank you so much, xman280!!!
That was awesome!
I'm going to try it now.
Why is he using a forearm vein?
The large vein in the arm crease is the one they draw blood from at the doctor's office? It's much larger and easier to work with.
Also, is a typical blood donation 480ml?
Should I do less and wait a week then repeat, for instance 120ml now and once a week?
I don't have a measuring cup but I have an empty water gallon jug.
I guess I can eye ball it and shoot for 120ml hahaha

For those asking about my last blood work numbers:
RBC. 6.36. HIGH. (Normal Range 4.14-5.80)
Hemoglobin 21.0. ALERT. (Normal Range 12.6-17.7)
Hematocrit. 61.8. HIGH. (Normal Range 37.5-51)

P.S. (as Little Slice would say) No Bullies please!!! Yes, I'm going to die tomorrow. I've heard that for 7 years. Death isn't something I fear. Living after a stroke/heart attack/major problem is.

that I cant tell u, ask somebody who s donated blood, and i assume, that s what u can drain once a month and then test urself... i keep telling the guys , if u dont want to deal with ur doctor for stuff like that use directlabs.com - that test is only $30

I've used directlabs before. That's the way I'll go next time.
Okay, so I've marked 350ml in a protein shaker cup I have.
350ml is a typical donation.
It's not going to be easy to accurately drain into the cup but here goes nothing.
I need a chupacobra. 🦇

U dont have a 16oz glass measuring cup? should be pretty easy. I can also cut the syringe and attach some type of a hose with a clamp to extend in the cup. I think the biggest thing is dont move too much so that 18G need doesnt penetrate the vein on the side or at the back, not that s gonna kill u , but might cause some temporary damage....plus yeah, forearm vein is pretty painful, i thing he uses it cuz it s in a straight line and a lesser chance of the need going outside the vein

That was too slow. I got about 30ml out. I just took an aspirin to thin the blood. Will try again in 15 minutes. And yes, I accidentally pushed through the vein. Oops...
Will try again with the other arm.
It's actually very easy to aim the blood into the cup. :)
