EVERY DAMN TIME MY BROTHER DIETS DOWN FOR A CONTEST HE BECOMES ANEMIC.. AND STARTS FREEZING..HE IS ON IRON PILLS AND C THIS TIME AROUND WITH ONLY 3 WEEKS OUT FROM THE SHOW AND HAS BEEN WORKING OUT IN SWEATS FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS..3 MORE TO GO!!!..COULD IT BE HE NEEDS MORE IRON??? HE SAID HE FEELS ITS EITHER THE TRENBOLONE OR ARIMIDEX CAUSING IT???PLEASE HELP HIM!!!

Have it as well when on lowered calories and need not even be lean at all. A lot of people have it actually. One of the bodybuilding coaches implied this might mean you're not metabolically suited for this ordeal. Not sure if I agree with him or not but whatever the case, it's no fun and might point to something being off.

Try Floravital by floradix its a liquid herbal.

Much better absortion then Iron pills.

AK

Sounds to me like a thyroid issue, I'm guessing he's restricted his salt intake which very well could deplete his Iodine levels leading up to sub clinical hypothyriodism. Have him check his body temperature 4 times throughout the day, if lower than 98.6 very well Iodine deficiency is the cause.

Why the extra iron? Granted low ferritin levels are a link to hypothyriodism also.

Do you become anemic as well?

He's on 80 mcgs of clen daily.... 25 mgs of t-3.,,,,sodium is normal but reduced with the clean eating.

Would larger dosages of tren be the cause of becoming anemic... during this leaning out phase??

Never actually had it tested so no idea. I think it's unlikely though. It's more likely a thyroid issue like Stewie said. I'm afraid some people do not have what it takes genetically to diet down hard. Another pointer might be people on protein only diets being happy still, others getting clinically depressed on the same diets, why is that so? Genetics.

stimulants do that to me, I'll be fine then as soon as I take adderall my hands and feet get gold

My friend its hard to say without some blood work to see where his thyroid levels and TIBC, ferritin and Iron saturation levels are.

There are dangers associated with High consumption of iron if the body can't rid itself of the extra build up, Hemochromatosis can be fatal if gone undiagnosed, this would be a concern if extra iron isn't needed. Is this by choice or doctor recommended?

25mcg of T3, one would think should be sufficient to supplement extreme dieting to replace low levels of Iodine. Maybe? May need more?
I'm not sure about clen, although I would only think it works under the same mechanism as caffeine, we do know caffeine interferes T3,T4 circulation and adrenal function. (The two are closely linked ) is he taking any caffeine? And supplementing with L-Turine?

Sodium and Iodine are two different minerals, both work on different pathways.
Certain foods deplete Iodine in the gut, not allowing for absorption.

And as Moen has stated genetics plays a major role.
I would highly recommend some blood work, soon pre or post competition.

Dieting can be very taxing on the endrocine system, leading to long term problems.
For your brothers sake and the future of him competing healthy, do some blood work.

Best of luck to You both, you looking out for your bro, kudos

doc recommended iron for him next time he cut down. everytime in past he has become anemic while dieting down. hes not chilling nearly as bad on the iron/c combo but he feels it coming on at times and is concerned iron won't be enough. after last show he did it took him 6 weeks of eating red meat and supplementing iron daily to no longer be anemic. he must be one of those!?

Anemia and hypothyriodism go hand in hand, low ferritin levels are generally the cause.

And I would only imagine 25 mcg of T3 isn't enough, with the restricted diet and not getting enough Iodine.
I wouldn't think adding more iron would help, but then again I would let a doctor make that call , or the Tren and armidex having an effect on the thyroid causing hypo, for some it's the opposite, night sweats.
The body is very complex and hormones are very delicate.
I wish I had the answer, although I'm leaning towards hypo, root cause Iodine deficiency.

Best of luck

Well. 98.6 is not the norm for me. Mine runs anywhere from 96.3 - 97.5......I've talked to my Dr and she tell me my temp is fine. Guess it depends on age. I can only get mine above 98 when on T-3 and then it just barely hits the mid 98's.

Last visit July 1st

Blood Pressure: 98/59
Pulse: 73
Temperature: 96.7
Temp source: Tympanic
Height: 6' 1" (1.854 m)
Weight: 216 lb (97.977 kg)

Component.......Your result.......Standard range......Units
....TSH..................1.55.............0.35 - 4.00........uIU/mL

Typo on my behalf I was thinking normal body temperature and typed it, 97.8 not 98.6(brain fog ) from my personal experience and from everything I"ve read a Basil body temperature of 97.8 or less can be a very strong indicator of hypothyriodism, my doctors have overlooked this for years, my TSH T3 and T4 were always in the normal ranges, after seeing a hormone specialist he pulled all thyroid functions including rT3, and had me check my temperature 4 times throughout the day for a week, all came back within normal range except for rT3 and average body temperature was 96.5, I've been on 16mcg twice a day, not only do I feel better, My feet and hands don't get cold anymore, which my previous doctors diagnosed as Raynauds syndrome.

Yea Good call moron, So I've been hypo for literally years.

Here's a few links that explain failure on a lot of doctors part.
