Bodybuilding with crohns disease

Just curious if anybody has this or knows anyone that deals with this pain in the ass. Had two bouts of it and after re-section(four foot of colon removed) I live pretty normal life, just can't put on weight like I use to. At fifty-five I'm more cut, stronger and vascular and always ask how the hell I do it, but f... I miss those days when I could add ten to twenty lbs. and look thicker.

When I had all my GI problems a few years ago they thought I had Crohns. Thankfully I didn't. At my gym there is a deputy who is very built and who has Crohns. Probably like yourself though when he has an attack or episode we won't see him at the gym for awhile. He also eats probably less protein than most of us. Though he tolerates shakes very well.

I had a training partner once who had crohn's.... he'd take time off from the gym during flares which were luckily not at all frequent. Props for powering through despite having to deal with crohn's.

IIRC, I think I read that HGH can help with Chrohn's disease quite a bit.

Don't quote me on this, i'd have to go back and look it up.

I have crohns as well. I had a resection in 08 and have only had very minor issues since. I'm a firm beleiver that the healthy eating and exercise has helped my crohns tremendously.

But yes, putting on weight is hard as hell for me as well. Not being able to properly absorb nutrients will do that lol

Yeah, after re-section stay on HGH for two years and could put on weight like I used to, then lost my source. Went to my Doc. and he precribed some really good shit but since its not fda approved for crohns had to pay out of pocket costing sixteen hundred month for five IU'S a day. We know our bodies better than anyone so it f...ing sucks the system denies us what they know can cure the American people!

I have crohns to. I had two re section surgerys done last 1 was 10 years ago do for another one soon what gear can you guys take without corzing a flare up

After my re-section I have had no problems with fare ups and gear has never affected me other than I might not get the gains some get. I eat a very clean diet eight times a day throwing in a dirty meal two or three times a week. Other than D-Bol which I keep that down low first four weeks into cycle (15mgs. three times day) I would stay away from orals. This f...ing disease affects everone different, however for me I can eat most anything I want. I just stay away from milk, pork, and lettuce and like a Bro said earlier in thread eat, eat, and eat some more cause our bodies just don't absorb the nutrients like it use to.

What were the major signs when discovering you had chrones? My girlfriend is a nurse and she persists that I dont have it. She thinks I have a gluten allergy instead

Majority of my bowel movements are Diarrhea. I never feel completely well rested either. Can sleep 8 hours and will wake up tired, I figured it was from 10 hours of work and 1 to 2 training.

I have ulcerative colitis and it can suck at times but isn't horrible. Sometimes higher carbs or protein shakes will give me some issues. Has anyone heard whether or not HGH helps with UC too?

I've been wanting to run Hgh forever, but never been privledged enough to afford it.

I have it myself and when it flairs it causes real problems. I found eating as clean as possible is best for me. I also have a list of foods I avoid that cause any stomach distress.

I have had crohnes for a while now and currently weigh 225. I have used hgh in the past and have had no problems. I have used a sponser here and have had no positive affects due to his gh being way underdosed and not strong enough to make a differnce. Be warned that hgh can cause cancer to grow and with chrones you have a higher risk of colon cancer.

Without a doubt.

Some days you certainly don't feel up to it, but it is what it is.

Stress is a big trigger for me too.

I sometimes wonder how my gains would be if my food/nutrients were absorbed like "normal" people. I wonder what the difference would be, not that you could ever find out.

Hey, shit can always be worse and I'm greatfull that I can still train and I will do so until they put me in a pine box.

I was a solid 215 before crohns, went down to hundred twenty seven lbs. before re-section and have made come back staying between 185 to 205. I'm not angry anymore, it is what it is and I have lived my glory days. At almost 56 I am proud of what I can still do and will never let anything defeat me. Clean diet is the trick eating eight times a day. Also know all the best restrooms up and down the east coast.(LOL)
