anyone out there eating cream of wheat? i am thinkin of replacing oatmeal with this, would probably just eat at breakfast time, if anyone eats are you eating it plain or adding anything to it?
 
it has a higher gi level then oatmeal. It has been heavily processed so not as nutritious as oatmeal. Plus I like the taste of oatmeal better so I mainly stick with that. But things like grits with eggs is just to good to pass sometimes
 
I have been eating cream o wheat now for a bit...like to switch between oatmeal grits and cream of wheat...
usually add sugar free maple syrup some extra truvia and some ome omega 3 or grass fed butter or coconut oil...
 
I was always a grits guy, but an ex-gf years ago made me some cream of wheat and put some sugar in it. Man, delicious. Might have to stop by the store tonight and get me some.
 
I really enjoy the cream of rice. It is similar to cream of wheat but seems easier on my stomach.

Its usually my pre-workout meal mixed with some almond butter and whey, tastes great. Its also very good with cinnamon, Molly McButter (grass fed butter is hard to come by where I live) and some sugar free syrup.

I love cream of rice. Its gluten free and seems to be really easy on my stomach.
 
yeah Cream of rice for me. no bloat and I feel better after eating it than I do oatmeal.
 
i prefer cream of rice.

although i have a HELL of a time finding it in some of the local grocery stores around me for some reason.

i got some cream of wheat when i couldnt find anymore cream of rice and it bloated me more kinda like oatmeal does.

i prefer fast acting carbs pre-WO so that i have energy but also don't look like a fat POS at the gym. cream of rice does this beautifully. i used to eat about 60g of steel cut oats and i felt like the marshmellow man by the time i got to the gym 45 min later.

Same here. If it's not in the cereal aisle I find it in a random aisle in the gluten free section.
 
I like it because you can water it down (alittle) and just drink it....

put a teaspoon of van.ext.....and couple squirts of agave or
syrup....chug it down.

digests MUCH faster than oats....so it wont hold the hunger like oats.

tastes great and is very versatile but I usually end up craving way too much after I have some, almost the same effect as candy, that's just my experience.
