SO.....I've been eating a boatload of fruit daily lately!! Usually bananas since they are higher in carbs.....a lot of bananas!!! So I got bored:

Sprayed PAM in a thin layer on pan
Sliced bananas in half length-wise.
Cooked until they were caramalized on both sides.

Man, These taste so good!! And pam has zero carbs and is fat-free! Just thought I would throw it out there! -StOrY

Sounds good thanks for the tip!

Throw some coconut creme on it...Delicious.

lol........honestly though, you wouldn't believe the monotony of my diet!!! I eat the same exact thing for all my meals usually! The only variation is Tuna instead of chicken sometimes!:p It's like the movie "Groundhog Day" ! -StOrY

Just be careful, you can get potassium overload if you eat too many bananas in one day.
I was eating 3 or 4 a day, and I would get really bad stomach cramping that I couldn't figure out.
Then I had a hunch it was too much potassium, so I ate some salty pretzels and it went away.
I now never eat more than 1 banana in a day after that.

Man, I eat ALOT of bananas! Do you think I should switch it up? I mean, I've been doing it for a while(over 12 weeks) and haven't had any problems. Whatcha think? -StOrY

Well, if you've been doing it for 12 weeks then you have no problems.
I think it was just because I wasn't eating anything that had much sodium.
Keep enjoying those 'naners!

I made some of these tonight but changed it up a little. I sprinkled some cinnamon on them and used a little bit of coconut oil instead of PAM. Takes care of any sweet tooth thats for damn sure...tasted just like plantains you would get at a restaurant.

The stomach cramping would be from a slight intolerance to the fiber or starches in the banana, not the potassium content. An electrolyte imbalance would show up as muscle cramping, but is easily rectified by ensuring sufficient sodium in your diet.

Variation !
Eat other fruits too. Every fruit has it own profil of vitamins and minerals.
You need them all.

does anyone else get reflux after eating banannas? I love them but dont seem to digest them quite right.

I was thinking switching the bananas up for other fruit for health reason. You know.. the vitamins and antioxidants and such.

I am getting conflicting info on how many grams are in a medium size banana? I am trying to measure out roughly 15grams of carbs...Are you guys just eye balling this? I believe a medium size banana has 20-25g?

I'm the same. For about six to seven weeks all my protein came from tune, now I can't stomach it to same my life.

I measure all my food on a digital scale. 1 oz of banana equals 6.5 grams of carbs.

I have a list on my refrigerator of all the foods i eat.

Examples:
Apples: 1 oz = 4g of carbs
Grape Fruit: 1 oz = 2.5g of carbs
Baked Chicken: 1oz = 9g of Protein.
