so I got inspired by the dissociated liver thread that is going on and was thinking of trying to cook up some real liver. I've never tried it and I know most people hate even the smell of it. Just wondering if you had a good recipie for some beef liver. thanks for any help. :D

every time ive ever cooked liver the smell if you just cook the liver by itself is just wrong. but liver is really good.

try this.
1 lb beef liver
1/4 cup porcini mushrooms
1 small onion diced
1/2 red and green bell pepper diced
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 cup thai chili sauce
1/4 cup bean sprouts
1/4 cup peanuts(put them in a blender and pulse until it kind of resembles big bread crumbs.)

slice the liver into thin strips and put them in a hot pan wiht 1 tbsp olive oil.
sautee for 5 min. turn heat down to medium high
add everything else except the chili sauce and sautee until veggies are soft.
about 5 min.
add chili sauce and give it a good stir.
id rathe use peanut oil or sesame oil but for healths sake olive oil is fine.
sprinkle crushed peanuts on top and enjoy.
 
Thanks tkav. that does sound great. (though I've never tried liver so maybe I should hold off on that). But I really appretiate you taking the time to help me out.
