Hello guys I'm trying to gain lean muscle so the question is..

How long before sleeping should you cut carbs?

if you are trying to lean bulk it is the overall calories for the day that matters...an excellant pre-bed meal is Oats and Protein
 
I never dropped carbs totally from late in the day meals but do reduce them.

But as i train at 9am this is fine if you train late in the day then you may need to keep carbs high.
 
if you are struggling to lose weight then in my opinion eating before bed is not a good idea, but when you are trying to put on mass a Protein/Oats meal or drink is a good idea but not the only one much better than waking up at 3.00am to have a drink
 
Whenever I cut carbs, I start cutting from my meals that are the furthest from my training. I don't like cutting carbs though unless I'm deep into prep or my fat loss has stalled. I'd rather do a little more cardio than eat less food.
 
What is important is your 24h macro total timing is almost irrelevant

One of my staples I've used from the beginning as a hardgainer before bed is: Egg whites, maybe a whole egg or 2 added (depends on factors) with Oats on top drizzled with some coconut oil, honey and cinnamon....Delicious Gains💪 and I've used this during contest prep as close as a week out from my shows.
