Today my staffy goes in for a TPLO surgery, just wondering if any of you guys out there have gone through this with your dogs and what the recovery times were like? She's barely let the injury slow her down, she just picks that leg up when she wants to move quick and tripods it around the yard, but as a big softie I also am worried about her and what I can do to help improve/speed up recovery. Thanks in advanced for anyone's input here!

Dog tax picture for those that want to see. We rescued here about 2 years ago. She was found as a stray but based on the shape she was in, it looked like whoever had her before just used her to breed and then dumbed her right after a little of puppies.

Cool dog, Z! I love the breed.
I'm no help as to answering your question but I'm sure the vet will go over post Op procedure to make sure she gets back to 100%.

I have a male, he just got neuteted. He was not hapoy with me at all. Sucks seeing them in pain.

Thanks man! Surgery went really well luckily! Got a call late in the afternoon from the vet saying everything went well and that he expects her to recovery fully. Basically we just have to try to limit her activity for the next 8 weeks and let her take care of the rest on her own. She's a pretty low energy dog so I don't see that being much of a problem.

And good luck with your pup healing up! I'm sure he's a bit grumpy with you but he'll be back to normal in no time!
