Quad numb outside but burning pain sensation inside?

Had a pin that felt weird a couple weeks back and it led to part of my quad almost numb to the touch on the outside but has a strange burning pain sensation sometimes on the inside. It's not terribly painful or anything but it's there...

I'm thinking I messed with a nerve, anyone ever experience this?

Had that happen once. Pretty sure it is swelling on the nerve, putting pressure on it.

Did you take any action for it to go away or was it just time?

Not much you can do. I took some OTC pain killer to help reduce swelling. That's about it. Alieve is what I used I think. It helped just a bit, not much. Have to wait for the swelling to go down.

Yes, sounds like you pissed off a nerve in one shape or form. likely it will resolve over time.

Any back pain or tingling anywhere else in the leg?

ive had knotts that hang out and cause weirdness.

Thanks guys, no pain anywhere else just isolated to mid quad. I'll give it some time see what happens....
