Doves?

Any bird hunters here? I love me some dove hunting and those little bastards are fantastic on the grill. I'll put a small, fresh slice of jalapeno behind it, wrap a slice of thick cut bacon around it and a toothpick through it to hold it all together. Boom!

Any other ideas?

firend of mine roasts em...olive oil.salt,pepper and rosemary.
pulls the meat off the carcasses.shreds it like pulled pork.
makes a marinara.
adds the dove meat to the marinara and simmers it for a couple hours.
serves it over spaghetti.
never eaten it but it sounds pretty good.

Dove is delicious....just takes so many to make a meal, and im not the greatest with a shotgun lol

MMM. I know this thread is a few weeks old but try adding a little cream cheese to your grilled dove and bacon next time. It is freakin delicious!

I usually create a lot of poultry chests for the weeks time on Weekend and put them in the refrigerator but I am getting to where I can't take a position poultry any longer.

Hard to beat wrapping in bacon and stuffing a little cream cheese in it..
