Hi Everyone -
Started having a problem with my Lenovo laptop yesterday. It was shortly after I was done syncing my iphone 5 for the first time. Not sure if that's a possible cause but the timing seemed odd.
Anyway my computer froze so I restarted it by holding down the power. I noticed that the login to windows was extremely slow and it ended up freezing there. Each time I would restart I would get stuck at the login, or it would just boot to a black screen.
I burned a windows 7 ISO to a DVD and tried repair but it said there were no problems.
I tried using the boot disc to go to a restore point. The restoration completed the first time but did not help the issue. Subsequent tries for different restoration points erred for an unknown reason.
Command line prompts from the boot disc could not find any issues on the drive
Booting in any safemode will only get me a black screen with a blinking cursor
Last known good good configuration seems to be getting me the closest to a full boot up, however the furthest it will go is a spinning icon next to welcome after I enter credentials. It will stay there indefinitely.
