How long is humalog good for?

I got a bottle it’s been in my refrigerator since last July and hasn’t reached the expiration date but I’ve read it should be tossed out after 28 days? Is there any chance this is still good? I went to cvs because you can get novolin-r without a script but they wanted $130 for the bottle that’s insane!!! Last year I could get it at Walmart for $30-40. Maybe it’s still that cheap there? Anyway sorry for the rant but if anyone can answer any of my questions I really appreciate it

Shouldn't be problem with using it, refrigerator keep it good for long time.
I used one humalog even after expiration without problems. Just keeping it in refrigerator. Those expiration dates are very narrow, mainly to protect the manufacturer if the insulin does go bad.

Wife has insulin that is 10 years old. Still works just as new.

I was using humalog the other month that I had used 2 years prior and it still worked. It was also expired by about 1 year as well. It means nothing and it will be gtg.

Thank you to everyone who replied! The paperwork says unopened and refrigerated the bottle is good until the expiration date. Opened and refrigerated good for 28 days... thanks to you guys I used 10ius pre workout and found my bottle to still be very effective! Thanks again

It’s $24 at Walmart. It’s good at least until the expiration date.
I went to CVS for it too and my jaw dropped when they told me the price. Walmart is the only way to go.

The price of insulin have soared dramatically. These drug companies should truly be ashamed of themselves.
