My significant other has been struggling with this for years and I'm tired of seeing her suffer. I've researched it a little and know that metformin and birth control are the standard treatment options as well as limiting sugar intake.
But do any of you know anything else that can help with this condition? Supplements, vitamins, minerals, diets, etc.. When she gets a flare up she is miserable and just wants to curl up in a ball. I hate it.
We're not wanting to have kids or anything so I am not worried about that but I just want to hopefully find something that will minimize discomfort or the recurrence as evidently there is no cure for this.
Regards,
For those that do not know this is polycystic ovary syndrome.
