female advice needed about nolvadex???

Hi everyone, been training with my trainer since july 2012 and lost a good amount of weight but my lower body doesnt seem to be changen much. My top half is very low in body fat and my trainer suggestd tryn nolvadex. Iv read threads bowt it but wanted to find owt the best way of taken it cuz i herd wen u come off it u can gain weight with water retention and i wud hate that to hapen to me. Is there a safe way of taking it so avoiding the weight gain? Should i take anything else with nolva? My training consists of 6days resistance training. Any advice will be greatly apreciated :)
 
Nolvadex is used fairly commonly by female competitors looking to shed the last bit of fat on the lower body prior to competition. It does this by blocking the estrogen receptors, thereby preventing estrogen from doing it's job. Since many of the fat deposits on women are estrogen-related, Nolvadex can be effective at eliminating them. Women often use more than is needed. A dose of 10mg/day is effective in most women, though some will go a bit higher. I think a rebound is fairly inevitable when coming off of the the compound. You are blocking the action of a very powerful hormone, and when you stop using the Nolvadex, the effects of estrogen are going to be felt again quickly, including the body fat deposits. Using the lowest effective dose is probably smart in keeping the rebound effect low.

It is important to remember, competitors are using methods like this to look great for a single day (or maybe a few days) out of the year. It isn't something that is safe to stay on permanently, as estrogen is what makes you a woman. Nolvadex will not eliminate fat deposits permanently, though it may be helpful if you are trying to look great for a vacation, competition, etc.

To me, I think 6 days is too much. I will throw something out there. Too much stress and cortisol levels will effect body fat. Over training can produce that too. (lack of rest and inadequete nutrition) Be interested to know you whole DIET and training program. Are you training for a show?
 
Good advice and questions from both Pesty and Flex. Also interested to know if you are planning to compete?
 
I would hold off on the nol and instead scale back your weight training to say 3-4 days a wk and up cardio. Stairmill only say 45 min 5-6 times a wk if your looking to drop bf.
