I'm a younger guy and have been looking more and more into preventative and overall health measures lately since I have been on for 7 years and will be on the rest of my life.

Not sure if there has been a discussion like this recently, apologies if there has been, but just wanted to get a feel for what the rest of you guys consider best and use for overall health.

I use other supps but, for the ones I consider the best for overall long term health, my rough list looks like...

Supplements -
Alpha lipoic acid
Berberine
CoQ10
Curcumin
Fish/krill oil
NAC
Olive leaf extract (oleuropein)
Spirulina
Vitamin D
Psyllium husk/oat fiber/green banana flour (digestive resistant starch)

Pharmaceuticals
Metformin
Telmisartan (just started)
Atorvastatin (low dose 10mg eod)

What are your staples?

Don't run Berberine and Metformin together....there's a ton of threads on here.

I don't trust fish oils anymore because the ocean is totally fucked with pollution/radioactive isotopes.

I use daily:
hemp oil
curcumin
piperine
test
primo
GH
magnesium

Krill Oil: 6 grams a day (2g 3x/day with meals)
Citrus Bergmont: 1000mg AM
Pantethine: 450mg (2x a day with meals)
Beta Sisterol: 2 grams (1 gram 2x a day with meals)
NOW Syntriniol 1cap 2x a day
Fiberlyze 1 scoop before bed
Ubiquinol 600mg/day
Super K 2x/day
Curcumin 400mg 2x/day
TocoSorb 2x/day
Nattokinase 200mg/day
Arjuna 500mg 2x/day
Grapefruit Seed Extract 250mg 2x/day
81mg Aspirin
Taurine 2-3g/day
D-Ribose 10g/day
Carditone- ½ tab as/when needed

Didn’t say I was running them together, usually one or the other although I do at times and have only noticed positive benefits physique wise

I have been consitently using

Krill oil
Rohdiola Rosea

for the past year.

I take these every day:
  • Omegalyze double dose 2x/day
  • V-Mineralyze
  • CEL cycle support
  • TUDCA 250mg
  • PQQ 20mg
  • Ubiquinol 400mg
  • Carditone 1 tab
  • D-3 5,000IU
  • K-2 100mcg

No one cares, bc you fail to learn how to use the search button.

What kiND of mag. I heard there's one that doesn't cause the shits

I take good food. All colors of the rainbow every day. Each color is a different nutrient panel. I was recently at a conference and one of the speakers has MS, she was wheel chair bound, taking all kinds of Rx pills, changing all the time when they stopped working, then taking OTC supps of all kinds. One day she stopped ALL of it and changed her diet radically. One year later she is off all Rx drugs, no more otc supps and rides her bike 10 miles a day! To get your nutrients from whole food is so much better than taking a sliver of nutrients in a powdered cap. NO supp replaces good ole fashioned cardio either.

Every day

Krill Oil
Ubiquinol
2xBaby Asprin (morn and night)
Vitamin D & K combo
Niacin
Curcumin
ZMA

*Arginine
*Citrulline
*Psyllium Husk
*Cinnamon
*Apple Cider Vinegar
*= all mixed together in a drink before bed

Everything has a clear purpose but I also don't like taking too many so will downsize a little soon. My current supplements include...

Y.S. Eco Bee Farms, Royal Jelly, Bee Pollen, Bee Propolis... antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties. Rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids and anti-oxidants. Reduces inflammation and oxidative stress. Great immune booster, helps cholesterol and increases nutrient/protein ulization etc.
Life Extension Once per day Health Booster- contains a variety of useful ingredients such as vitamins e and k, macaguard, saffron and lycopene. I use this for general health plus the fact it contains many very useful eye health supplements.
Life Extension Super Bio-Curcumin... anti inflammatory, anti oxidant, heart, joints etc.
Life Extension Super Ubiquinol Co Q10... heart health, cholesterol, blood pressure etc.
Ayush Herbs Carditone... blood pressure, heart, kidneys etc.
NOW Foods Pycnogenol... blood pressure, blood sugar, muscle soreness etc.
NOW Foods Blood Pressure Health... heart, blood pressure etc.
Jarrow Formula's Vitamin D... general/bone health, immunity, insulin sensitivity etc.
Sports Research Antarctic Krill Oil... general/heart health, cholesterol, joints etc.
Animal Omega... general/heart health, cholesterol, joints etc.
Thorne Research Zinc Picolinate... immune support, liver, sleep, recovery etc.
Now Food's Magnesium Threonate... cognitive function, sleep etc.
Paradise Herbs ORAC Energy Greens... general health, regularity, immune system, energy etc.
Garden of Life Raw Fibre... regularity, digestion, elimination of toxins etc.
Synthetek's Synthergine... liver health, cortisol control and anxiety.

Before eating larger meals I also use the following products...

General... NOW Foods's Super Enzymes.

High Fat meals... Ox Bile by NutriCology.

Large dairy meals... CountryLife Dairy-Zyme.

High Carb meals... Musclerage's Slin-RX.

As mentioned I will be condensing the above soon. I will drop the Pycnogenol as it's not fully needed. I will condense the zinc and magnesium to a single ZMA product. Animal Omega will be dropped when I finish it and I will just carry on with krill oil. I will be changing fibre products but still using one. Everything else I feel helps keep problem areas in range so is of benefit to me. The one per day health booster could be dropped but my eye sight has worsened over time so I plan to keep that in to help matters plus it's loaded with useful ingredients.

Aajonus vonderplanitz said and showed pics that supplemental forms f vitamins are different to same named vitamin in food in physical molecular shape and effectiveness. Anyways, I have moved to more foods now.

I used to take k2, now I eat Natto and egg yolk and dairy products
Vit d from sun , otherwise minimal level supplementation
Even was eating beef heart for coq10, which I will go back to as the polls are hella expensive
Sprouted broccoli seed for Sulforaphane
High vit c fruits like oranges, trying to figure out how to grow some tropical fruit here , some fruits have 1g vit c per 100g!! But they grow in tropics and vit c doesn’t survive well when freeze dried

I still take nac and lipoic acid

Taurine and glycine I wouldn’t need if I could afford seafood and bone broths more often.
Food is usually better

K2 in the form of MK-7
Nattokinase
Curcumin
Fish Oil
Red Yeast Rice
COQ10
Multi Vitamin and mineral
NAC
Ginseng Complex

RX:
Lisinopril
Carvedilol

Garlic, curcuma, ginger, magnesium, flax seed.

I think that lifting weights and following a keto diet outweighs any type of medication or supplement.

Periodically do fasting cardio and running DNP cycles. :headbang:

What did your latest blood look like? Specifically lipids.

Life Extension - 2 Per Day
NAC
TUDCA
Curcumin
Vitamin K2
Omega 3
Krill Oil
Citrus Bergamot
Garlic Extract
Life Extension - MacuGuard
PQQ
Supplement Needs - Sleep Stack
Ubiquinol
VSL #3 Probiotics
Alpha GPC
Glutathione
Cissus
Atragalus

Recently had abnormal bloods come back for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), so stopped a lot of these. I think some of these irritate my stomach, or a combination. Been referred to a gastroenterologist for more tests.
